We wanted a quick bite at 8:30 p.m. after being on the road since 7 a.m. We were hungry & tired.
We were very disappointed by the service & cleanliness of this Burger King in Tallahassee. I wish I had gotten our counter server's name, but I didn't. But I will share she was NOT interested in serving customers. When we arrived, she was on her phone and didn't 'recognize' we were at the counter for some time. I even mentioned to my husband that she'd rather be on her phone than do her job. I'm pretty sure this is against company policy. At the time there were no other customers waiting for service.
We ordered 2 Big Fish Meal. Good Thing!! They were OUT of Whopper meat. HOW is that POSSIBLE? Burger King is the home of the Whopper. And they're out??? Where's the Meat?
The fish sandwich we ordered was good, but it seemed much smaller than I remember. This might be a sign of the times. Smaller but same price. It was good & fries were hot. The cook did seem to be paying attention to his job & getting the orders out in a timely manner.
Besides being out of meat (again - I can hardly believe this), they were out of Coke products. Our server didn't mention this to us. We tired the soda dispenser several times with NO LUCK. I finally asked her if the machine was working. That's when she said they were 'out of Coke". Really?? Out of Coke and meat? 2 Fast Food Staples & they're out?? Very weird.
The restaurant was 'picked up', but all of the tables were dirty & needed wiped off. The music was glaringly loud. In your face loud!!! Plus 2 customers were being obnoxious. I know this isn't Burger King's fault, but it added to the already disappointing experience.
The bathrooms appeared clean. But it looked like someone had dumped a bucket of water on the floor & used a mop to push it around. It wasn't going to dry for some time.
We won't be back to the area for maybe a few years, but when we do stop by we won't get a 'quick bite' at this...
Read moreUhh... yeah. For some reason BK is known in the fast food world for having one of the longest waits at the drive thru... and this one definitely doesn't disappoint where that is concerned. A couple of weeks ago I sat trapped in the drive through line (with cars in front of me and a car in back with concrete curbs all around to keep me from escaping, otherwise I'd have left) in excess of 15-20 minutes. I watched as they handed several bags of food out the window to the car in front of me, thinking the whole time about how much of a jerk that person was for going through the drive through when they had so much food to order and how long me and the people behind me had waited because they were so rude. When it came time for my turn at the window I thought for sure they'd have my ONE value meal prepared and ready for me to take off with, but no, I was the one asked to pull around and wait in the parking lot after I had already been in the drive through line 20 minutes. I did, and I waited a couple of minutes, but when it didn't look like anyone had any intention of bringing my food out I drove off without it (and yes, after I had paid) because I was so disgusted at the lack of time management. The person in front of me with 15 orders should've been asked to pull forward, NOT ME with ONE order. Does anyone at this store exercise any common sense?
I only gave this store two stars because I finally made myself go back there tonight and even asked for something special on my Whopper (which normally I don't DARE try). I got through the line in less than 20 minutes with a burger that was prepared correctly. The bar is not set very high here but hey, BK has food I crave from time to time so I'm stuck. If I get what I ordered within 30 minutes I guess I'm satisfied. Not happy,...
Read moreKind human beings working here is what I experienced today which is more than I can say about a lot of other experiences at fast food restaurants.
However, the outside wrapper of my sandwich was disgusting and covered in a lot of sauce. My french fries were cold and they did not bring me the ranch dressing side that I paid for.
The timing was a long, wait, but it was Christmas Eve so I’m not going to harp on that. I pull around and waited in a parking spot for my food to be delivered and when it finally did and the ranch wasn’t there, I got out of the car and followed the employee back in to ask her to give me some ranch, but I didn’t verbalize. Hey, can you help me because she was on the headset taking a drive-through order.
Then I stood at the counter for about seven minutes, maybe more waiting for someone to acknowledge me so that I could get my ranch.
Anyways, I’m not trying to be nitpicky. The wait was long, the food was cold, but the people were kind, and I think they were doing their best just not very perceptive of customers within their presence and I am sure that they were slow extra slow today due to the holidays.
DANGIT, also - NO BACON. I particularly like this crispy chicken spicy bacon sandwich because the bacon makes it extra good and this is like the third time I’ve gotten it from different locations and they did not put the bacon on it.
