My experience was SO bad .ordered Uber eats and got the wrong order, instead of getting a refund I thought about calling to see if it was possible to get the correct order. Got passed around to 4 different employees because nobody seemed to understand English well enough, while I speak some Spanish and understand it very well, itâs easier for me to communicate and order in English, I could hear them talking in the background about how it was impossible that I received the wrong order when I was looking at it, and was asked to bring my order into the store to replace it. Once I did I was greeted and asked if a paper bag with a name on it was mine; I told her that it was no my name; another young lady came out and they spoke and the lady told her that she asked her if the name on the bag was mine but I lied and told her it wasnât, but it was indeed not my name, not even close. After waiting several minutes the come out with the order that shouldâve been correct the young lady looked inside and I assume she was checking it was correct, she handed it over and apologize to which I told her it was not a problem. I went to my car and decided to double check my order to find that my order was still wrong. I took the bag back inside and told the other lady that my order was still wrong she seemed agitated and opened the box disgruntled and tried to tell me that it was right even as I was showing her my original receipt . When everything was cleared up and she noticed she was wrong she made a smart remark to the cook in the back and asked him to make the correct item. During this interacting a gentleman who I believe was either the owner or the manager came up and started asking the ladies if it was the situation with the wrong order to which she replied it was and he kept asking questions to try see if I was in the wrong, not once did he acknowledge me or apologized for the mistake they...
Read moreI called in to make an order but nobody could help me in English, which was not the biggest inconvenience, so instead, I placed an order for pickup through the Door Dash link on their page. That was the only option for a pickup order. When I arrived, I saw my order and went to pick it up. Someone behind the counter was saying something to me in Spanish, which I did not understand. Another customer translated and said they were asking me for a pickup confirmation through Door Dash. I am not now, nor have I ever been a Door Dash driver and I don't have a Door Dash account. I had two emails from Door Dash with the confirmation of my order and that it was ready for pickup. That was all the information I received. It had my name on it and I showed that and my ID. They would not let me leave with my food no matter what I showed them and continued to ask for my Door Dash pickup confirmation, which did not exist, as I was not a driver. After I began to get more and more upset, the person behind the counter used google translate to say it was fine this time and I needed to show pickup confirmation the next time I come in. I used their website to place an order in my name for pickup. They need a better understanding of the systems they put out to the public for use. I was extremely disappointed in the entire interaction and I think your customer service needs to be improved. I also think that there should be someone on hand with knowledge of English or had something immediately available to assist with translation if necessary, as this might have been avoided if either of us could understand what the other was saying. Service aside, the food was...
Read moreSo the food is high quality and cooked well. Very tasty and authentic latin. Unfortunately that is where the positive experience ends. If you pay with a credit card, they add a service fee and don't tell you ahead of time. I was joined by 3 other people but was on a separate check. So they added 18% tip (also referredto as a separateservice fee but is a tip). Again no warning up front just mentioned it after another person noticed her bill was too high and insisted on seeing a breakdown. They only showed me an electronic receipt with my total and 4 suggested tips. Zero was not one of them. I am a good tipper and wasn't careful to check my receipt so I ended up doubling the server's tip. When the other people at my table got upset and started arguing about the bill, I just left. Life is too short for drama! I ended up paying about $8 more than I would have with proper warning. I can afford it and it won't put me into debt but it certainly left me with a bad taste for ever going back! So bottom line: good food, OK service, HORRIBLE business practices. My advice if you go: Pay cash and if there are more than 3 people at the table, be careful...
