HUGE disappointment. I was excited to meet my friend to celebrate her birthday tonight. The overall vibe of the bistro seemed very pleasant.

We ordered the sautƩed Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and they were delicious. The cream of spinach soup was also tasty.

Since I really enjoy Asian foods, I ordered ā€œHunan Chicken with Peanuts.ā€ Unfortunately, it tasted like fish. I cannot eat fish or seafood. After another taste, I had to literally flag down the waiter for assistance. I asked if their recipe used Fish Sauce. The owner was nearby and said there was no fish sauce in the dish. They did not seem concerned that I was not happy with my entree. No option to switch meals was offered. I was floored by their total lack of concern.

I set the plate aside and the waiter totally avoided our table. When he finally returned, after my friend had completed her dinner, he asked if I wanted him to remove the plate of food.

My friend and I were shocked by the poor customer service. She was very uncomfortable because she suggested Circles.

When the check came, I was charged for the dish. I asked the waiter about it and he said - "It is our policy to charge for everything that is ordered. That's our policy. I'm sorry you didn't like the dish."

Oddly, he was not pleased when I only tipped him for the dishes that were consumed. I would never stiff a waiter totally, but fair is fair.

They could have had a new loyal customer, if they had shown some concern and tried to resolve the issue. I wish I could write an enthusiastic five (5) star review for Circles but their policy left me hungry and greatly...

Today I went to the circle in Apollo Beach Florida on 6/20 we try to see if we can make reservations for Monday, July 5 for my mother and fatherā€˜s 25th anniversary. They are saying that they will be understaffed and that they will not be able to accommodate us without even checking that particular date. We spoke to the GM for that day she explained to us that Monday is not going to work. Mondays Are typically understaffed and we don’t Do any reservations and we don’t split parties as well as we don’t except anything more than 10 people. Then proceeds just to say that she doesn’t even work Mondays and then also recommends us to try to go to Applebee’s or even outback even after paying $170 bill for four people as if insinuating that we can not afford fine dining for a large party. However the service that we received today by the waitress named Tonya was phenomenal the reason why I have given this review a one star it just because they have great customer service when it comes to the waitress they have horrible management quality’s for a high end restaurant. I received better services at Ocean prime. Who doesn’t know how to make a proper Caesar salad. If you love food but want terrible management the circle is your place!

At the Dale Mabry location, went w high expectations but left disappointed and $75 lighter. The stuffed flounder was a nearly paper thin 4oz lunch portion, wrapped around a mound of stuffing. The brocoli side was also yellow, wilted and limp. The chicken marsala dish had been pounded to thin and was served overcooked and dry and again barely a 4-4.5oz portion. Not appropriate for the cost nor for a portion expected of a dinner dish. The sauce barely had a reduction, and had already separated from the butter. The brown colored rice lacked any style or flavor. The polite waiter offered to sell us a dessert but we just wanted to leave. I had bragged about this place for years to my wife. Living in Carrollwood and having visited the Apollo beach location I thought it would be a great local option but sadly it is not and will Not be. Frankly, it resembled my hospital meals I was served in plastic containers while recuperating. Served when you got it, and lacking of any love and expertise. Are the 2 locations even related?? I'm sorry but this is our 1st and last visit here. READ the others reviews, which I should have in advance, and then decide...

We hadn’t been here for years, but decided to give it a try again. It was just as tasty as it was the first time many years ago. Judy, the chef, makes a tomato sauce any Italian would be proud of. If I could buy it to go by the gallon I would. The pork chop and the burger were so flavorful and cooked just right. The calamari was breaded with rice flour which made them crunchier than we were accustomed to, but it worked wonderfully. They were perfectly seasoned also. The only downside was our server, Jack. He was so slow and apathetic. When asked about an item on the specials menu, he had no idea what the item was nor did he offer to ask. There were only two tables - us and another couple. We were his only table. We had to signal to the owner/bartender to get Jack’s attention. This would be my biggest hesitation to returning.

Our first visit at Circles Bistro has left us wanting a couple of other rounds. After all, their menu is TRULY a journey of flavors you have to see to understand. They do have, for example, some of the best fried calamari that I have tried around in Tampa, as well as a great lobster bisque. My Peppery Thai Braised Duck Rice Noodle Soup couldn’t have been ANY better… YUMM! Their wine list is amazing, and deserves a totally dedicated visit for sure… with more tasty food with it !

Mom and Pop meets upscale dining. Small place, about 9 tables with a menu of eclectic epicurian endeavors; Circle's Bistro is the rare dining experience in today's market. Treated like family while served like honored guests, the vast wine selection and extensive bay leave no doubt that Michael and Judy are ready for anything you could want. Open Tuesday through Saturday, call ahead, just to make sure you don't miss out.
