Last night, I placed an order for pick up at Curly's Caribbean Restaurants. There was an error ordering and I received the Ackee & Saltfish. What I truly meant to order was the Steam fish cuisine. So upon receiving my food, I realize the mixup, and promptly call back the restaurant, to let them know the error. Upon my call back to the restaurant, I spoke with the owner Curly about the issue on the phone and he promised to me that “he would take care of the matter at hand the next day, and to use his name to validate my claim in his absence”. I did exactly what he stated to do the next day and placed a call to his establishment, was told it would be a 45 minutes wait to pick up the correct order. (Cool no sweat). Now for the second time, I’m back at the establishment for pickup and discover that Curley's terminology of “handling the matter” was a partial fee of $8.00 after paying full price for the cuisine I didn’t want. He wasn’t willing to refund or do an even exchange. Any legitimate establishment - if there’s a mix up with the order- you bring the order back in exchange for what you want and, if not you get your money back. The customer is always right! So, to all those that eat here, be mindful of the shady😏business that is conducted by the owner Curly at Curly's...

Now to customer service, horrible. I walked in (my first time at this establishment) and was greeting by an older gentleman he asked how I heard about them and asked me what I wanted, then proceeded to say “we’re not really a walk - in restaurant, we prefer you call in” I stated I’m informed now I saw it on your door.
He proceeds to say “ so why didn’t you call it in” being flabbergasted by his demeanor and tone of voice I stated “because I wanted it”.
If you’re not a “walk - in” restaurant, post it online and on a website. Take reservations if you can’t walk in and order.
If I wasn’t on my lunch break I would have just left and found somewhere else to eat.
Customer service is EVERYTHING. You’ll never succeed with that attitude and especially with someone is coming to you for the first...

Oh, what’s a girl gotta do to get some callaloo, A bowl of green dreams, a taste so true? I ordered from Curly’s, my hopes flying high, But when I opened the box, I wanted to cry.
The plantains were there, the rice and peas too, But no tender greens—no callaloo! I stared at the plate, my heart filled with despair, For the dish wasn’t whole without it there.
I double-checked the menu, the order, the line, Was it my mistake or perhaps a cruel sign? The plate felt empty, though full to the brim, Without callaloo, the joy grew dim.
What’s a girl gotta do to savor the green, The taste of the tropics, rich and serene? Curly’s, I beg you, please make it right, Bring back my callaloo to brighten my night.
Until then, I’ll dream of the flavor I lack, Hoping one day my greens will come back. For nothing compares, no dish will do, Until I taste that perfect...
