D'Lites Ice Cream - Carrollwood — Restaurant in Florida

I was super excited when I found out there was an ice cream shop dedicated to low carb ice cream. I haven't had soft serve in a long time and it was so good. I got "death by chocolate" and it tasted like regular ice cream- sweet and creamy. I don't like most keto ice creams because they taste so fatty and I can always taste the thickeners and other additives. This was nothing like keto ice cream.

We were trying to figure out what the ingredients are in the ice cream because the website says they don't use any artificial sweeteners (I definitely wouldn't mind if they did- I like artificial sweeteners.) We found an ingredient list for the basic chocolate and vanilla ice creams that lists sugar as the second ingredient. I was worried but I didn't get any leg pain as I normally would with something high in sugar so I'm assuming it truly is low sugar. I'm just not sure how they have achieved that level of sweetness without a lot of sugar.

The cones and toppings are not sugar free unfortunately. A low carb cone and some sugar free candy toppings would be a great addition.

They have a lot of keto and low carb products for sale like breads and bars. There are some ice cream sandwiches that look amazing, but the staff did not know if the cookies were low carb. They also have containers of ice...

I’ve hesitated in leaving a review but this time I’ve been pushed to do so. I consider myself a regular here and unfortunately when I do go it’s typically at night when I get off from work. I’ve been coming here with my fiancé for the last three months and our last two visits weren’t the best. This occurred with the same young lady that works there, blonde hair. This last visit occurred on 11/26/2023. I came in 20 minutes before close and she rapidly lowered and changed her loud music and later said that “on Sundays we close earlier” when I asked her about the vanilla ice cream. I quickly rebutted to her that last time it was the same excuse yet it wasn’t Sunday. She then stayed quite and said “on Wednesdays we close earlier too” I’m honestly disappointed, I would always come around that time of the day and never experienced this inconvenience. I love coming here and I always take more than 2-3 tubs of ice cream home and leave a nice tip, especially to the past night crew. It’s not fiar coming into the business and expecting to get ice cream and to be told the vanilla and chocolate were already turned off early yet the rest of the daily flavors were still up...

I discovered this place while on a Keto diet. I was googling ice cream places that are low carb, because frozen yogurt/ice cream is my weakness. I also wanted something different than the low carb ice creams in the grocery stores. Although I liked them, they just aren’t the same. I decided to give this a try after looking over their nutritional information. It made sense. Even though I am not on the Keto diet at the moment, because I’m pregnant, I still want to have low sugar intake when I can. This satisfies my sweet cravings and I do not feel guilty when I eat it! It’s all soft serve, with the consistency of frozen yogurt, my fav! Even my sugar fiend husband likes it! I love that the flavors alway rotate, and all the deals they give each week. If you sign up for the rewards program, you get money off. I have saved pretty much every trip since I signed up. I definitely recommend it! Totally...
