DeGiovannis Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

EDIT: I went to the restaurant and was informed that they no longer accept online orders through that website, and didn't realize the phone was off the hook. There's a new owner, and they were very nice and offered me a refund. However, they could not do it in the restaurant-I had to contact the webmaster to get a refund. I emailed the webmaster after and received an almost immediate response that they will get started on my refund right away. I'm giving the restaurant a few more stars for being so helpful and because the food is good there, but I had to go there to take care of things and I wasn't totally happy that I have to go chasing after my refund.

In the past I ordered and my pizzas arrived almost an hour after I placed the order. Today I placed an order and it's still not here 2 HOURS LATER! Worse, when I called to find out where my order is, the person answering the phone asked me to please hold, set the phone down and walked away. I sat on the phone for 5 minutes, and it didn't sound that busy. The food is good, but the customer...

I have lived in this area most of my young/ adult life. Slice masters has been here forever but maybe changed owners because the quality can change a lot. Tonight I made an order for take out. I clearly asked for a WHITE pizza with half pepperoni, I get home and open the box to find plain old cheese pizza/pepperoni. I called them and they were nice but still acted like it was my fault because the girl thought something else. So to be able to get the correct order I paid $35 not including a tip I left for them I had to bring the wrong pie back, wait for 15+minutes and then pay an extra 3$ for what I originally ordered and give them the wrong one back, waste my time/gas, pay extra and let my other food get cold. All for somewhat good food, guess ill take my business elsewhere and my family will too. I really gave them a chance to atleast offer a better deal because looking at what I got i paid...

Pepperoni pizza was 7/10 (points taken away because slices were bigger than fast-food pizza, but not the size of a traditional NY style pizza and the crust was crunchy; but, the pizza was tasty and not very greasy); garlic knots 11/10 (SO GOOD! fresh, hot, flavorful, soft but not undercooked); caesar salad 6/10 (salad was fine. lettuce was fresh but not very good quality--yellow/light green part of romaine is not my favorite--and the croutons were good--small--but it was a very basic salad. wish the presentation was a bit better and had some shredded parm on top). The total for a large pepp pizza, 6 knots, and a large salad, was $21 (+tip), which was really a great surprise. Overall, I'd say Slice Masters is one of the top pizza places in the Carrollwood/Northdale area. Quality is great for the price, too.
