Don Julio's (WIMAUMA) — Restaurant in Florida

First time here, the girl taking the order is polite. But the food we ordered was not good. We ordered 1 Asada Quesadilla, 6 Tacos de Asada with onions, cilantro and 1 Gordita de Pollo. The asada didn't taste like asada, the meat was VERY salty. My husband said the meat tasted like the meat the gets stuck to the bottom of the pan and it was just scraped to serve our tacos. They served the tacos only with onion and when I went to ask about the cilantro, they said it ran out. I was only able to eat two tacos because I added the avocado my daughter didn't want from her plate. The green sauce didn't have flavor either. The ONLY thing that made eating the tacos good was the fact that the tortillas are home-made. Home-made tortillas makes the difference when eating tacos. Don Julio’s is honestly one of the best places to eat when it comes to TRUE AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Their food portions, meal sizes, dish flavors, and most importantly dish prices $$. Make it the go to spot for when my colleagues and I are within the area. Their green and red salsas however, are the #1 reason why Don Julio’s has us returning for more every-time. Most salsas for other establishment are either too watery and no flavor. Or they’re just too spicy, you can’t even enjoy and second bite.

This Location of Don Julio’s in Wimauma is a nice establishment w/ excellent outdoor seating, outdoor fans, and a clean dining location.

I usually travel to the Don Julio’s location in Riverview. However this 2nd location is well worth making the trip all the way down...

I tried this place after Taqueria Guanajuato started putting less ingredients in their plates (no avocado, onions cilantro) and beef soup with half the amount of ingredients they used to use. I came over here to Don Julio's and WOW the beef soup aka Caldo de Res is so packed with meat and veggies that I had to add beef broth from ALDI'S! Everything else has been excellent.
