Dunkin' — Restaurant in Florida

I don't typically write these reviews, but with this experience I felt it was necessary. My boyfriend and I ordered two drinks, an iced coffee and also a mango Pineapple iced tea, and a sandwich. Sam who took our order was very nice and upbeat, we asked a couple questions and she answered them for us to help us make our choices. She made the iced coffee first so that I could try it to make sure I liked it and she said she would remake it for me if I didn't. I tried it and it was great! She made the iced tea next but realized halfway through that they were out of the fruit chunks, and she offered free donuts for the inconvenience (keep in mind it was 3pm and most of the donuts left by that time end up getting wasted) we thought she was joking but she proceeded to get a couple wax sheets and asked what we would like. When my boyfriend asked about a particular one that had donut of the month under it, a gentleman who I assume to be the manager walks over and says no that one is more than a donut and we can't do that, he looks at Sam, it was all a bit awkward as we kinda thought he was joking. Nope he was serious, it made for an odd and embarrassing moment for us and I am sure for Sam as well. Coming from management roles in retail, my boyfriend and I both felt that the situation was not handled well at all by that manager, not towards us or towards Sam, and after making our sandwich he simply said, if I could I would but she is new and doesn't know any better. I thought Sam did a fine job and her personality was great, the manager needs to go back to customer service classes if he wants to continue working...

So I called a few Dunkin’ Donuts near me at 7 o’clock at night because the Viera 10 U football team Needed their donuts because the team they played this past weekend they shut out So every time they don’t let the other team score they get donuts! (Get it… zero points, the donuts represent Zero!! lol) Well, to my dismay, Dunkin’ Donuts I called shot me right down and told me nope they do not have donuts, So I tried one last Dunkin’ Donuts And it was of course this one Breanna picked up the phone extremely bubbly and happy, And I asked her for three dozen donuts. She said oh I don’t know if I have that many donuts this late, Let me check? She came back on the phone and said I have a dozen sprinkled and then I have a dozen old-fashioned and a dozen other random donuts. I said thank you so much for trying, but these kids will not eat old-fashioned donuts, To my absolute surprise, Breanna said what if I put chocolate frosting and sprinkles on them… I said Breanna now you’re talking to kids language. They will absolutely love that! It is now 730. I just left Breanna. She had the three dozen donuts ready to go for me And I’m heading to the football field!! Halloween (10/31) I went in to get the "spider donuts" for my preschool students and saw that the donuts looked horrible. They didn't look at all like the pictures online or on TV. I asked could I at least get a discount on 2 dozen and was told I could get a discount on 1.

Yesterday (11/09) I called to get ten $1 gift cards for Thanksgiving cards for my students. They decorated coffee cup art and I was going to place the Dunkin gift card in the cup. "Aiesha" rudely told me that the store doesn't sell anything for $1. I said ok I still want it. She said, "that's fine but honestly why do you want it because again nothing in the store costs that little". I asked her WHY DO YOU CARE WHAT I WANT THE CARDS FOR? I called the store this morning and after speaking with the GM, I still wasn't satisfied that concern was felt or genuine. I wasn't offered donuts for my students, free coffee... NOTHING...lol.

No worries and lesson learned. 7Brew across the street not only gave my little ones the ten $1 gift cards for their art, they also gave me another $15 gift card AND free coffee for staff for the troubles I had at your store.
