Earth Origins Market — Restaurant in Florida

BEST PRODUCE IN SARASOTA !! THIS PRODUCE MANAGER BRINGS THE MAGIC!!

I am a frequent flyer at the Earth Origins on Bahia Vista and Beneva in Sarasota. Some of the reasons why: it is a great location - in the lovely Pinecraft area, very close to the Legacy Trail so I can swing by on my bike rides, they have a great deli -my husband LOVES the chili shrimp, DELICIOUS FREE COFFEE ( I can taste the coffee they are serving -often organic- and see if it is one I’d like to buy), nice selection of healthy grains, good bulk food section, AMAZING PRODUCE! - all produce is organic, fresh and looks great! I found wonderful cilantro this morning - other stores in Sarasota didn’t have any, or were selling wilted brown bunches. This store does offer produce that needs to be used within a few days, but at a DEEP DISCOUNT - and I have never seen brown or wilted produce at any price. Did I mention the staff? every person in the store is warm and helpful! Just stepping in the door brightens my day! BEST PRODUCE EVER!! WHO IS THE PRODUCE...

Today my 12 year old son asked the deli lady for a Cuban sandwich. She told him they are wrapped in in display case. He picked it up, it was a day old ( who wants a day old sandwich?) He asked her for a fresh sandwich she told him the press was not working. He said it does not have to be pressed. She goes in the back and brings out another day old sandwich (as dated on the label). At this point I step in tell my son to put the sandwich down, I put down about $70.00 worth of items and had my wife drop her items on the shelf, as I asked what hell is wrong with them being so lazy with every excuse not to make a sandwich. This location is disgusting, floors super dirty, food all over the place at the salad bar, manager is rude and doesn't care about your observations when you bring it to his attention. The staff that prepares the food is always is a bad mood. My 3rd time here today and the same bad attitude. If you want to order something they look at you with a mean face as if you were bothering them. I miss the store on Stickney Point. Never had any issues there. Staff was kind and cared about their customers. Be ware if you eat food from this place, it is stale, expensive...
