I was super excited to try this restaurant, but was sadly disappointed. Everyone was nice, but somehow everything still went wrong. First the prices were different than the menu which is understandable and noted on the menu itself, but I'm expecting maybe 50 cents differences, not dollars. Anyways, I decide what I want from the lunch menu and proceed to order. I order fajitas and a combo plate with chips and salsa on the side. I ask for my fajita veggies to be extra well done.
I sit to wait ony food and when I bring it out I notice that it looks small. I ask her if it is two meals and she says no just fajitas. Well I ordered two meals and I would still like the other one, so she adds it and tells the kitchen. It comes out and I proceed to pay. I ask for a receipt and see that she has charged me for extra veggies. I show her and tell her this is not what I ordered, I just wanted extra well done veggies.
I understand that there may have been a language barrier, but the thing that really upset me was that they called what I am assuming was the owner to see what to do and then proceed to tell me that,no that is what I ordered as if I didn't know what I ordered.
I just said nevermind, don't worry about it and left.
I got home too chicken fajitas, which were just a ton of veggies, that of course we're not well done, and a few pieces of chicken.
The worst was the attitude that I didn't know what I was talking about.
Update: I have seen your response but cannot reply. That was not what happened, but it is fine. I was simply stating my experience of what happened. And, yes you can be polite and still not have taken the order correctly. And as your staff can surely say that I was also polite and wished them a good day. I hope you have a...
Read moreI was very disappointed, unfortunately-because for 1-thing, the order I placed was all messed up..luckily I checked before pulling out of there parking lot..not to mention the desert was leaking through the bag..so I went back in to let them know (nicely)-what was missing..finally, a nice girl came out(waitress), I explained-she took my items back, then this lady came out (the cook),-&- said in so many words-that I was lying!-everything is in there..finally I had enough, I said, you know what, forget the extra things that I PAID FOR!-&- I'll just go..the owner finally told her I was telling truth, that I did tell him about the extra things, then she slopped it all over my food, instead of putting it on the side, like I originally asked for..point is-the WHOLE experience was terrible!- The food especially!- I'm use to the TEQUILA MEXICAN RESTAURANTS in Sarasota county-these ppl here had barely any meat inside our burritos-was completely flat.. I NEVER COMPLAIN..I ALWAYS leave good reviews..but me & my husband's Valentine's Day...
Read moreThey don't include chips and salsa with your To go order. Most Mexican restaurants do. To add chips and salsa for your order, it's $5! Hard pass. I will not be ordering from here anymore. Complementary chips and salsa with your order is pretty customary. But not here. Also, the rice is absolutely disgusting. I included a picture. There's no spices. No seasoning. Nothing. It just taste like weird yellow rice? Very bland. Rice 100% from a box from Sam's Club or something like that. I threw it out. Furthermore, why are my refried beans in acup???? Probably because it's a small cup so they can give less product than putting it in an actual side dish container. Again with the nickel and diming! The refried beans were sour and tangy? Just disgusting. I can't believe people like this subpar food. I would never come back here (I'm sure the owner will reply with the same reply that they've "been in business for 30 years". Good for you! Apparently, people don't mind being nickel and dimed...
