Restaurant: Grain and Berry 33840 US Hwy 19 N, Palm Harbor, FL 34684
Main Question: Is the food worth the price? Answer: Yes, it says delicious but it's pricey.
Food: The food came in a plastic bowl, despite that we were eating there. For a place that claims to be organic, this was a little off putting but the food inside it was delicious.
I had a bowl with kiwi, banaras blueberries, honey, oatmeal and acai. It was excellent.
The amount of food that is provided in the bowl is a lot and while it looks beautiful to Tower over the top of the bowl, it makes it difficult to eat.
Atmosphere: This was beautiful inside. The atmosphere was quite nice. The people were quiet. I can hold a conversation.
Cleanliness: The bathrooms were clean. The counters and tables were also clean. It appears that they do clean as they go and they were very neat when creating the food. You can see everywhere the food is located which is a bonus as well.
Service: This is not a dining restaurant where you have a server. Everyone was extremely polite for the time we walked in to the time we walked out.
Price: Our food costs us around $24 for two bowls.
Recommended: Yes. If you're looking to put good food into your body, this is a very nice find and a good...
Read moreI came in and ordered a Healthy Elvis smoothie, expecting a freshly made product. After ordering, I had just finished signing my credit slip (the whole process took maybe 15 seconds) when the cashier calls my name. She showed me a smoothie in a cup and asked me if I wanted some toppings. There was NO WAY that smoothie was made fresh THAT fast. It felt like she just walked over and grabbed something from a fridge as I signed my receipt. I even made a remark to the cashier, "that was kinda fast." She cheerfully replied with a thank you. Ugh... No... I did not mean that as a compliment, I meant that as "there is no possible way you guys made me a fresh smoothie with those ingredients that fast." McDonald's could not serve a fresh smoothie that fast.
Anyway, I checked the cup and there are no date markings or time stamps either. I cannot help but feel as if I was served some rejected smoothie from earlier in the day that I payed $6.00 for and the lack of markings on the cup makes me wonder just how long my smoothie was sitting around until they found somebody to serve it to. That sort of pre-made product is okay in my book at the $2 or $3 price range, but it is totally unacceptable for a $5.99 smoothie. I could have went to the gas station next door to my job for lunch and gotten one of those automated machine smoothies for cheaper and it would...
Read moreI came here on a Sunday and ordered 2 bowls. Was waiting for 10-15 minutes when I noticed the 5 people after me had come and gone. Stood back in line, explained what happened. I was asked what I ordered, so I named the 2 bowls. One employee stated "I made that a while ago. What was the name?" I gave her my name, her response was well someone must have grabbed your bag. Thanks to the sweet Male employee who apologized multiple times and made it fresh. An apology goes a long way, a rude attitude does not. I dont care if it's $5 or $500 being spent, but respect and manners should be a given. They refunded my money, which was not necessary, but appreciated . So even though this was the second time I've been there and it's been screwed up both times, the rest of the staff there was more than helpful and kind. So I'll give it another try. Thanks to the team that turned on rude employees attitude into a positive experience.
Update: Got home, calmed down, gave my husband his bowl, a few bites into it and he pulls out a piece of plastic. See photo below. Will never return and will make sure everyone that we know hears this story as we're both in the service industry as well....
