I really wish I had kept the pictures of the food. This is not a true keto meal prep. They often send fruits high in sugar like melons. Food DOES NOT look like the pictures they post-at messy for the keto options. I've been keto 3 years and have lost 70 pounds so I know my portions. What they sell you for 130+ (plus the cost of the freezer bag. Yes, you do need to buy it although you will not keep it) is not enough for a person even at caloric deficit to only eat so you're going to have to buy snacks on top of the 130+ you're spending on it. They say to buy the male-centric meals but I find it kind of harmful to have that be the solution. That could just be me though. The breakfasts are sad tbh. Half a small sausage link, half a hard boiled egg, sometimes a melon (not sure why they don't have more keto friendly fruits like strawberries or blueberries or some other kid of berry regularly available in miami), and sometimes a fat bomb that's some kind of creamsicle flavor (honestly I've thrown it out every time it's so bad).
The actual lunches and dinners can be good. The portion is so underwhelming by the time I get out of work and need to get to my work Im genuinely starving but if I eat after work I'll be so hungry after my workout! A conundrum tbh. The chicken or meat is usually very dry and underrepresented in the meal. Some are super filling and some were delicious! I will say presentation was very sad though
I also had my own issue that I ordered my meals and received it but the next week did not receive any meals even though I ordered a recurring option (wasn't charged though!). The woman I spoke to when cancelling said that someone reached out to me to discuss this but this unfortunately did not happen. I did order a day too late so the first week i got my food Wednesday (even though you don't get the full week you pay the full week price). But then was randomly charged and receive the third weeks food. I know food went out the second week because my friend orders from the too and received her food. Bh that point I was never sure if I was going to be skipped or randomly charged, but the holidays happened and they closed the kitchen for two weeks. I was charged again and called to cancel only for them to tell me they'd still charge me over 50$ for cancellation. I'm glad they were able to cancel at all because I just didn't want the food but I am upset at everything that happened and that I was charged a cancellation fee after how unprofessional their charging system is but oh...

However, there have been a few days- in the same week, mind you, that the portions are ridiculously underwhelming. While I am doing the ketogenic meal plan, I understand that calorie deficit needs to occur. But when the menu says I am getting turkey sausage links and I receive 1/3 of a sausage link, it makes me wonder what exactly I am paying for. Or when I’m told I’m getting scrambled eggs and I receive a practically empty Plastic container that seems to be holding scraps off of a toddler’s plate.
Also- I understand that there will be a lot of greens in my meal plan, given that it is a ketogenic plan , but if I’m going to receive one hard boiled egg and yellowish raw kale, it really makes me reconsider if this defeats the purpose of convenient meal prepping.
Furthermore, I explicitly mentioned both in the ordering sheet AND confirmed with someone over the phone that I didn’t want to eat dairy or pork (given that you are allowed two dietary exclusions) and my requests were completely ignored.

Read moreLooks like they've changed a lot of things, especially they're delivery system/route/whatever which complicated things for me b/c I will now be receiving my meals in sets of twos. For example, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays I am receiving my meal for the day before which would of been ok, I guess, IF the food was fresh. Frankly, it wasnt. Even after having kept in the fridge for a whole day, the next day the food tasted a bit spoiled. Moreover, I noticed there is a little bit of virulence among the employees when I called and they kind of blamed the other for a 'mistake' the other had made. So, if the relationship with their own colleagues is not positive, then management probably isn't either, idk. All I know is, this is the last time I am ordering from here. I'll stick to my local cantina instead.
On a positive note, they do have a good variety with their meals, and some of it is tasty. However, I am a bit concerned when my meals weren't as fresh as I expected them to be, and wasn't too happy about receiving my meals in twos.
