Update: My husband called the following day and spoke with Chelcy. She apologized, she willingly refunded (although all we requested was our sandwiches), and also stated she would like to give us coupons as well for our inconvenience. This was more than acceptable. I was prepared to update the review.
However, upon arriving to pick up the sandwiches, I was informed, and I quote. " I reviewed the surveillance tapes, and it appears that you all received sandwiches, and you all stated you had giant sandwiches, and you only had regular sandwiches." Surprising that anyone could come to that conclusion because we, in fact, returned the sandwiches, so there could be no question as to what we received. I immediately called my husband to speak with her directly, and then there was a change in what was or wasn't viewable by the camera. To be clear, our card was refunded and we were given the sandwiches as originally ordered; however, how the resolution changed from, we are terribly sorry and to make things right, we are going to refund, as well as, give coupons, to we've reviewed the surveillance tapes, etc, is baffling.
Original Review: My husband ordered two chicken Philly sandwiches, got home to find that they were actually Philly cheesesteak. We do not eat pork or beef, so we called and they stated they’d remake the sandwiches. My husband said, I will head back now it will take 20 mins. The young lady said no problem, we will remake it for you. He arrived where they said, we’re closed. No sandwiches.
What kind of customer service is this? They provided a refund, however, that couldn’t have been accomplished over the phone? They certainly weren’t closed when we called, so why not remake the sandwiches while on the way back?
No apology, can you wait while we remake it, just we’re closed. He...
Read moreCounter people, stop reminding me that "theres a question for you on the screen". I tip at least 20% when I go out to eat, I do not tip for counter service pickup especially where you count each slice of meat like corporate tells you to. Tips work when they are mutually beneficial. If I leave you $10, are you going to hook me up next time? Nope. You still give me 3 slices of ham. I tip over at Leo's deli, and he piles it on. I suggest you put a tip cup on the counter instead of the current procedure. Clean restaurant, great subs. Will be back. Will not tip and do not enjoy the walk of shame after clicking "no tip". I'm not cheap, and dont like to feel cheap considering I just spent $15 on a ham sandwich- the most expensive sandwich in the area. Minus one star for this awkward mandatory guilt trip BS. Otherwise, great subs.
Edit: after a few return visits and trying new things, everything has been delicious. Their cheese steak is awesome, their roast beef is made in house using top round deliciousness... Moving up to 4 stars. My only complaint is the tip guilt trip, if not for that 5 stars...
Read moreI was contacted by JM management this afternoon and issue resolved!!! Thanks Bill & Jorge. Turns out I was contacted on the 1st day by Voice Message which I did not look at. Reason was the call was from an unknown caller, call and VM’s which I tend to ignore as spam. Tired of being pitched solar as I live in a condo😳 I ordered a number 13 giant sub and when I got it home and began to eat the first quarter of it, I found that it had almost all ham ... not really Coppicolla but ham!!!No pepperoni & no salami. That's unlike any number 13 I've ever had at Jersey Mike's and probably will never have again because of this experience. It's totally unacceptable for anyone making a sub to leave out two main ingredients of that sub. Ordering online it's impossible to substitute for the ham which I would have so I have to take it as it's presented. As I said this is unconscionable and unacceptable. And NO RESPONSE after 11 days when email indicated 48...
