Joto's Pizza - Seminole — Restaurant in Florida

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had family in town for Christmas and they wanted to try a local pizza place and have always liked Joto's so decided to order. I went to the website and saw they had online ordering for pickup. Since we had a pretty big order I opted to do this. Upon placing the ordering a screen popped up saying to wait 1 - 2 minutes for a store employee to manual validate order. I got this in 2 minutes (6:01pm) with a pickup time 40 minutes later. We arrived at 6:45 to pickup and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy and told me she didn't have an order under my name or phone number. I began to pull out my phone to show her my confirmation when she realized it was an online order she forgot to print and get prepared. She said it would be 15 minutes as she would have it urgently prepared. No apology! Within 5 minutes the HOT appetizers we ordered were placed on the counter. (Now at 6:52pm) At 7:20 my husband asked what the status of our order was as it was now 30 minutes and not 15 and 80 minutes since our original online order. Our hot appetizers were now lukewarm. The manager who was also making pizzas just said they were busy and what did he want from them?, which our reply was our food. He stomped over to the pizza oven and boxed up our order, slammed it on the counter and then yelled at the cashier to give us our money back. The restaurant was very busy so this rude display was seen by a lot of people. Another customer's order was made incorrectly and was waiting for it to be remade and upon seeing the manager being so rude just asked for a refund as she just wanted to leave. My husband has been coming to Joto's since he was a kid (40 years) and I have been for about 20 years. Will we come back again? Never! I stopped by here today as their pizza is pretty good and I was starving. I had just left another restaurant in Clearwater that served what they wanted regardless of what was ordered, so I couldn't wait to get some food. They had 3 slices on a pan, I said I would like all 3, just put them on a plate and that would be fine. She asked if I wanted them heated and I said again, no thanks, they were good just like they were, please just put them on a plate and that would be great. She got the slices and went over to the counter then brought the pizza to me. The crust was all shiny and oily I asked what that was, she said it was butter that's how they serve it. I said, but I just wanted the slices on a plate, that's all, why did she do that? She said that's how they serve it. I told her then they could eat it, I didn't want butter or anything extra, just the 3 slices on a plate. Why was that so hard to grasp. If you don't mind being served what the staff wants regardless of what you ask for then come here. Hell, you don't even need a menu, they can just serve what they want! Really good pizza can be had at Ricks pizza on 19 in Palm Harbor, they will offer garlic oil on the crust if you want, but will serve what you ask for, not what they want. No wonder businesses are hurting, they don't serve what the customer wants. Oh, she never came back, apparently I was supposed to be grateful that they served something I didn't want! Go...

Server was friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about food being offered.

Our appetizer, Joto’s Fingers, was free (1st visit) with a medium pizza order. Buttery, crispy, and chewy garlic bread sticks were perfectly made and tasted delicious.

Husband ordered the medium Joto’s Meat Pizza ($18.49). It had layers of pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, and beef. Came out nice and hot and crispy, buttery crust. 🤩

I ordered a medium Joto’s Deluxe Pizza ($18.49). Loaded with extra cheese, pepperoni, ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives. I loved every tasty bite. And I don’t have to share my leftovers with the hubby. He has his own.
