Pretty disappointing experience trying to support local. I tried reaching out to the owner by after a week with no response I gave up. I ordered online for delivery and a little after an hour I call and check on the order, things happen, but I wanted to confirm everything was ok. I was told my food was ready but the delivery was waiting for another order to finish before they would take mine. Another 15 minutes goes by before my order is delivered and I live less than 5 minutes away. The driver doesn’t have my 2liter so I tell him and he obviously isn’t going to go get it, he is from mobile meals, says he wasn’t told by the restaurant that the order had a drink and he will “tell the office.” He said the store was taking forever and the owner wasn’t there. I call the store and tell them and the guy sighs and hangs up on me. I call back and after ringing and ringing he finally answers, and says like I guess I can do a refund. No apology and after a short pause rudely says, “Anything else?” I was still on the line bc I thought he was refunding me and was waiting on a confirmation that he was finished. As if I had inconvenienced him by getting a refund for the product I didn’t receive. I said yes, you could have at least apologized. He starts yelling about how it was the drivers fault and “he wouldn’t let me talk to him.” He blames the driver saying he had an attitude and wouldn’t let him speak, but they had already told me my order had been ready at least 10 minutes before the driver left with it. If my order was sitting and waiting how were you not able to speak with the driver about the order? Btw, my pizza was cold bc clearly it has been sitting there much longer. The guy on the phone was completely unprofessional and decided instead of owning up to the mistake treat me as if it was my fault and I’m in the middle of him and the driver. I never received a refund and it’s been 9 days. I submitted my experience in the email to them at the bottom of my order receipt and sent them a Facebook message asking to speak with them about my experience before I wrote this review and not one word back . I will not be ordering from them after this experience nor recommending them to...
Read moreI strongly disagree with the positive reviews. I grew up in northern New Jersey, I spent many days and nights in NYC, and I have been to Italy a number of times. I have a very different opinion of NYC style pizza or even good pizza. Every once and a while I venture out to try something new in hopes of invigorating my taste buds. Sometimes I have happily surprised, some times not so much, and some times absolutely not. In this case, it was the latter.
I ordered over the phone which was my first mistake, had I known this was a conveyor belt pizza joint I would not have ordered. Having never been there, I ordered a variety of things to see if I found an alternate to East Coast Pizza (which is just a few miles down the road and closer to my house). I ordered a 16" Margarita pizza, a 12 inch cheese steak, a 12 inch chicken parm, and fries.
I fell in love with Margarita pizza's when in Italy. Something about fresh basil and mozzarella floating on a great sauce and excellent dough. Justin's Margarita pizza was certainly not a Margarita pizza as I know it. Pizza was rather dry and I did not see or taste fresh mozzarella or basil. Look at the picture and judge for yourself.
The cheese steak was weak. When opening it, I got the impression that the 6 inch and 12 inch might have the same amount of steak. The picture clearly shows a few inches on either end that is just bread. East Coast Pizza's cheese steak has 2 to 3 times the steak and tastes a lot better.
The chicken parm also didn't extend to ends of the bread either. The chicken was ok, but it lacked enough cheese and the sauce lacked flavor.
Fries were limp and needed ketchup. But to be fair, it could have been the 10 minute ride home that hurt those.
Will I visit this place again? ...
Read moreRating 3 stars because of the numerous times we’ve been and the food, which we genuinely enjoy. However, based on today’s experience we will think twice before returning due to the lack of customer service.
We ordered our usual pizza and garlic knots ahead, waited the 30 minute wait time and picked it up. When my husband got it home, it was the wrong pizza. He called to let them know, assuming we got someone else’s pizza and that we’d bring it back to get what we ordered. The associate, who said his name was Andy, argued with us that we ordered a Hawaiian pizza, but it wasn’t even a Hawaiian pizza that we received (and that was not close to what we ordered). He then said he didn’t know what we wanted him to do and we said we’d bring the pizza back and pick up what we ordered. He said they had orders ahead of us and it would be 25 minutes. I mentioned that typically when an incorrect order is received, it’s promptly adjusted, and he said he “was not the owner”. We waited the 25 minutes and went back to pick up our pizza - by then of course the garlic knots were ice cold.
It’s understandable of course that mistakes happen. However, how they’re made right defines the customer service of the business - and which businesses I personally choose to support. This instance was very poorly handled, and the customer service was very unprofessional. We’ve been ordering from Justin’s for years, but unfortunately will be thinking twice before...
