First time in since they opened, having changed hands from sandwich shop that had been establish at the same location for decades. Opening a coffee only shop at this location with a national chain located across the street in a grocery store will be a huge uphill challenge. This will require coming with your âAâ game, along with product line that set you apart from âthemâ!
Service was very good and staff was attentive to every detail.
However, coffee I received was OK, not stellar, and I can only say the same for the food product as well. While the service at the competitor across the street is no where close to Kismet Coffee, their product quality and selection exceeds Kismet.
Having said this, Kismet has a great opportunity to set themselves apart and take a huge bite out of the market share. I suggest the following:
Check brew temperature on coffee and add atypical brew types, again to set you apart from your competitor Improve quality and expand bakery items. Currently a very limited selection. Add unusual breakfast sandwiches. These can be premade similar to your competitor. But, fresh and custom is always better! Eventually expand to other âlunch ishâ type food and snacks. Add various smoothies to the menu, including non-coffee and protein types to draw in a different clientele. Improve the currently very uninviting ambiance of the interior. Take a que from various other local and national chains and decorate with a unique local flair making the shop part of the community. Bring your pricing more in line with completion
Thereâs lots of opportunity here. But, I predict if changes are not made soon this business will be a â1-2 year startupâ victim.
Wishing you the best and Iâll be back soon to give you another go! I love to support locals âmom and popsâ rather than national chains...

I read some of the reviews and decided to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by a nice young man named Zander. He had a nice smile on his face and told me about the special available today. The place was nice and cozy, and clean. I was able to have a meeting and was able to hear the other person, and they could he me with no problems. The coffee was very tasty as well as I just added a splash of half and half, but I could have drunk it black with the great flavor. I talked with one of the owners, and they like to work with local vendors, which, as a business owner, I think is great. The coffee came from Nuanz Coffee Roasters & Tea Merchants out of Yulee, FL. I will cross-post this on their page as the coffee has an...
