DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I placed an online order today at 11:30am for 11:45am pick up, upon arrival to pick it up at 11:50am, the employee told me the tablet is not charged and is turned off so they're not taking online orders. I informed her I was still charged by the business to my bank, showed her my bank account and email receipt. I informed her their system is still functional and is taking orders and charging customers even though her little tablet is completely shut off. She said "she doesn't work with those online people anymore and they haven't fixed it, that they haven't been taking online orders for weeks" (even though when you call, it prompts you to place the order online) So, instead of making the food from my receipt right then and there and I'll pay right then and there, she advised me to call my bank for a refund. As far as the food, I asked if she can make the food now, she said yes and it'll be an in person transaction, she asked over and over if I'm paying in cash or card, I stated card TWICE, she still seemed hesitant for whatever reason and seems to have preferred cash. She then proceeded to tell me it'll be about 20-30 minutes for 8 empanadas and 1 chorizo. I said fine, I'll come back at 12:30pm and headed home which is about 5 minutes away, no big deal. Before driving back, I called ahead and asked if my order was ready before driving, she told me her co-worker hasn't showed up and that it'll be around "maybe 1pm" to check back in to see if she came and if it's ready. I hung up. What has she been doing this entire time? Does she not know how to fry the food? I've been more than nice here and met them halfway, wasted 90 minutes trying to get this lady to fry 8 empanadas + 10 minutes calling my bank for my refund. Mind you, $35 for 8 empanadas, 1 chorizo and 1 chicharron is RIDICULOUS. This place is a joke. 0...
Read moreI went to this place that is now called La Tentacion a couple of days ago and was a little disappointed on a few things but I will start with the positive things first:
The service was good and the food was served on a timely manner.
The place looks nice
The jugo de guanábana was good
The hot dog was good
The fruit salad was a little dry
The bandeja paisa was ok - could be better
But what disappointed me is that they charged us twice for a tip without telling us or including it on the receipt. My dad paid for the food and didn’t get the second copy that is normally provided to put down the tip so he told me to leave the girl a tip since they didn’t give him the option to pay it so I ended up paying ordering a water bottle to be able to add a $15 tip which was fine because I always tip. At first the girl didn’t want to take the tip which I thought was a bit odd but then I found out that she didn’t want to take it because she had charged my dad card with a tip and without telling him or putting it on the receipt which I think was sneaky and we ended up paying $28 dollar tip. If she meant well she could’ve said no need for tip we already charged it but she didn’t say that because she took it without authorization. Little things like this could ruin the experience so be careful when you pay they might take a tip without even asking or adding it...
