My husband, toddler, and I went to this location because our usual McDonald's is remodeling their lobby. We stopped on a Thursday morning recently (2/13/20 around 8am or so) and it was probably the worst fast food experience we've ever had. The staff was completely clueless. We waited at the counter for too long before someone came over to take our order. It seemed like they only wanted people to use the touch screen kiosks, which we tried to use but our coupon did not have a barcode or code on it and the kiosk wouldn't accept it. After we ordered at the counter, it took 20 minutes for us to get the food, and the food was not what we ordered. My husband went to the counter to bring the incorrect food up and to get it corrected and waited at the counter quite a while before someone helped him. The "corrected" order was then brought to the table where I was sitting with our daughter, but the staff person who brought it did not wait for me to check it and dropped it on the table in a bag and also did not notify my husband so he was still waiting near the counter for the food. I had to call him over to the table, where we discovered the food was wrong again. My husband brought the wrong items back to the counter and waited again for a correction. There were people still waiting for their orders from before our arrival when my husband was getting our order corrected. We think the staff were mixing up orders and putting the wrong items on trays with parts of other orders.
The staff was not friendly or helpful, the lobby design is not comfortable or appealing, and they have the napkins behind the counter like they're afraid people will take too many if they are out in the lobby area. This was an extremely frustrating experience and fast food should not take an hour from walking in the door to leaving. We will not be visiting this location again.
On a side note, I also dislike when customer restrooms do not have paper towels as an option to dry your hands, this location only has...
Read moreCongratulations guys, you are one star away from being the worst McDonald's in America. This place robbed me last Friday at 4am. I was extremely hungry, I had just gotten paid. I ordered the value meal because I'm broke. She told me that they stopped serving lunch at 4am!?! I think she was expecting me to say nevermind because she didn't want to lift a finger. But I was hungry and nothing was open. I asked to see the breakfast menu because it was still displaying the lunch menu (Because they don't usually sell breakfast that early, I used to work at McDonald's when I was a kid on breakfast shift) she told me she can't switch the menu. So I had to go off memory to make my order. I got the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel meal with a coffee. She asked me how I wanted my coffee. I said regular cream and sugar. She told me they don't have a regular amount. So I just got three creams and three sugars. I paid $10.45 for the $8.50 meal, I assumed it was because I added an extra hashbrown. When I left, I realized they forgot my hashbrown. I went back to the McDonald's and she told me that she forgot to ring me up for the hashbrown when I know I saw it added on the screen. She had the manager come over so she could print a receipt (I think the receipt was fake). I ended up paying an extra $2.03 for the hashbrown, a total of $12.48 for a regular bacon egg and cheese meal with a extra hashbrown. I hate to assume but I think this was a case of reverse racism. I've actually noticed a lot of that since I moved down here. I'm from NH, we don't really have racism up there like you do down here. My brother in law is black, I don't have a single ounce of racism in my blood. So being taken advantage of because of the color of my skin is completely unwarranted. Someone's gotta be "the bigger man" and stop perpetuating hate in all aspects. But I'll say it again, there's a possibility I'm completely wrong. All I know is I paid way too much for that meal and I'll die before I get taken...
Read moreUpdate Oct 2024 Just can't go here any more. Ordered ahead on the app. Arrived about ten minutes later, parked in spot and punched in my space number. After forty minutes (I was doing work in the car) I couldn't wait anymore and went to the counter. "Oh, sorry, we've got an order for 40 orders of fries that we're finishing up, then we'll do yours". Yup, a person who had ordered ahead (to feed a dance team) had ordered 20 chicken nugget meals and the fries. the order was placed they day before, and the staff was fulfilling it so it would be ready for pick up at the assigned time. Hey, I'm all good with that .... BUT, you can't tell me that any of the 20+ cars that rolled through the drive through while I was waiting didn't order some fries? You couldn't 'sneak' one of the ton of fries you were making to fulfill the take out order into my bag so I could be served in a reasonable time frame? Terrible management of staff this day for sure. This store has had it's ups and downs since COVID. There were times when they were supper slow to fulfill orders, or got orders wrong, and other times things went smoothly. The number of workers appeared to be the same in all scenarios - so I can only chalk it up to bad on the floor management.
I will no longer use this location. While the store near the corner of Murell and Barnes (bit more out of the way and further), or the store just east of I 95 on Wickham (heavy traffic in that area is typical) were never my first choice, they have become the first choice because of the performance of this store.
Previous review* Standard fare. Skills and friendliness of staff varies greatly. Seems to be pushing use of the app for ordering. Morning rush cuts down on counter staff so be ready...
