McDonald's — Restaurant in Florida

I rarely would feel the need to post a "comment" for an individual branch of McDonald's. But, of all the MANY locations available, I have to say; "This branch has been consistently above "THE BAR", without question.

I visited the McDonald's by River Ridge last night, getting a late dinner for myself and friends at home. I saw there were quite a few cars in line for the drive through. So I decided to park in an open space close to the entrance and go inside, to order for take home. As I entered, an employee was almost finished mopping the entire entryway. I felt bad having to walk across the damp tile and apologized to the young man. He immediately responded politely, "not a problem sir, it's going to happen". I carefully walked to the 1st space at the counter, to order. There was a lot of activity going on, with the many employees busy servicing the patrons at the drive through. But I was noticed quickly and politely asked for my order. I wanted to use the McDonald's phone app to get a free 10pc chicken nugget. As I was showing the young man my phone screen, he said I had reward points that I hadn't used and were about to expire. I knew I had points, but didn't know they expired after a year. He quickly told me what I needed to do, to get the best value. After ordering and using my phone as he advised. I ordered over $30 of food for 3 people for only $10.82, utilized rewards that would have expired, and was being handed my entire order in less than 5 minutes. Every person that had a part in the entire process, were polite and smiling. Everything was hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. I frequent this location whenever I have the opportunity, because of their level of service and quality of product. I used to go to this McDonald’s on my way home to grab a smoothie and sometimes a burger. Most nights I did stop by it would be around 10pm . The lights inside and outside ,along with the drive-thru were all lit up , which to me would imply they’re open. So I’d drive around the building to enter the drive-thru . As I’d approach the drive-thru , I’d see a few employees gathered outside either huddled together and talking , or sitting/laying on the sidewalk by the door. Upon entering the drivethru I’d be informed “we’re closed. We don’t have enough employees to be open”. Out of the many times this happened I think I’ve only received two responses that were polite. I totally can understand a business not having enough staff to be open, but if that’s the case why not turn the lights off in the drive-thru ? On the times I was able to place an order in the drive-thru I’d order a smoothie , occasionally a double hamburger too . The burger itself would be kinda dry and burnt . Sometimes having either ketchup & mustard all over the bun,on the sides of the bun , also the inside of the wrapper. Other times it has next to no toppings. I never complain to the staff about any of this , it’s really not that big of a deal. Just figured I leave a review based on the food and due to being short staffed...

Even though I had an issue at the beginning of my trip to this McDonald's today, after I pulled out of the drive thru, parked and called the manager, the problem was resolved with flying colors!!! Management was very kind, patient, polite and helpful with the issue. Unfortunately, I didn't get the managers name, but anyone who works at this location should be able to see who was working on this day @10:23am. Me and my children only go to THIS particular McDonald's and on a regular basis. It is because of the OUTSTANDING SERVICE, PATIENCE, and KINDNESS that we started going to this McDonald's in the first place. Other surrounding locations have either always serviced us with inedible food (cold or burnt), rude employees, extremely long waits or missing/incorrect products. Even with the high customer volume, this manager handled the situation with professionalism and customer satisfaction in mind. This will Remain the ONLY McDonald's we continue to go to and we Greatly Appreciate all of the employees and the above average service that we ALWAYS RECIEVE at this location!! Thank You All!!
