I live right behind this place and have been looking for a place for my boyfriend and i to have as a little spot close by. Went in a few nights ago and it wasn't the best. I didn't like the vibe. I saw there was very little staff and customers around 7 pm which says a lot. I still had hope then the Christmas tree... Its March.. Yes there's a Christmas tree. Ordered frozen margaritas which were great i could tell the limes were fresh. However a second after we ordered the cook had to ask for limes from the server and she got them from the bar. Idk i just got the vibe that they aren't popular. Boyfriend ordered steak puff taco and it was pretty bad. Meat was gristle for what was there and the flautas i ordered with beef were burnt if you ask me. The basket had wax paper served with puddles of grease giving me the impression that they weren't strained from frying. They were rolled like a thick taquito not folded in where all the meat will stay soft. Small bits of burnt ground beef i could pinch into powder were in the basket as well .Ground beef was very bland. You can tell its low quality equipment and ingredients. The only good thing was the margarita which was made super strongđ. The waitress wasn't very descriptive about the drinks when i asked they have no BAR menu!! She also didn't suggest any appetizers and when she first arrived we each stated we'd have waters. She brought those back i asked about the drinks and said id need a minute. We decided our food and an alcoholic beverage and when she came back and got the two margarita orders she left without asking if we were ready to order and didn't return to take our food order till after the drinks were made. So we waited for about 7 minutes waiting on her to come back .She was a sweet girl. Just felt like very little knowledge of the company's items .Which i mean i can't blame her for not knowing when the restaurant won't even invest in a bar menu. No wonder there was no customers or bartender. They have no menu?! What's the point. I hope whoever is calling shots around this place sees this. I would love to be a regular if the food quality atmosphere and functionality were there. Good choice in music but i won't be coming back.. And a Christmas tree.....

Waited approx 10-15 min and both she and an older server made direct eye contact SEVERAL times never approaching our table. We had a toddler with us and was not offered a high chair upon entering the restaurant.
It has been a few months since my boyfriend and I dined at Miguel's. I am an avid Mexican food fan so I was really excited. I should have known something was wrong when I noticed that the sign out front said, "Now with A.C." The atmosphere of the restaurant is horrid. When you walk in there's no way to know if you seat yourself or if someone will be seating you. The service left something to be desired. DO NOT ORDER THE CHEESE DIP!! It should be called flour mush... That's exactly what it tastes like. The entrees aren't any better. My boyfriend ordered the steak fajitas- the steak was still frozen in the middle when it was served to him. On top of all of this, it cost 35$ for this debacle. That's with a Gulf Coast Savings coupon. A friend of mine had initially told me about this gem of a dump. After this experience I asked my friend why she had told me to eat at this place because it was just so bad. To which she replied, "Oh, no you ate there! The only good thing they have is the cheese enchilada". Nonetheless, save yourself some time. Just skip Miguel's and go to Monterrey's. It's just five more minutes down the road, 10$ cheaper, and the food is about a million...
Read moreI took my family there and the food was over spiced. You would expect that would be great but that's not the case here. The food was definitely not what we anticipated it to be the menu looked mediocre with hamburgers and things. It did have a few things we recognized. So we chose to order the dishes we knew. When we got our food it was not prepared properly. The meat was dried out and over seasoned. Which you would expect in a Mexican restaurant, but not in this case. The hamburger meat in my daughter's tacos couldnât be eaten, it had some kind of nasty taste to it nothing like you have had in other Mexican restaurant. My niece couldnât eat her food either. I did my best to stomach mine down only because I'm the one that asked everyone to eat there. Due to being so hungry from driving so long. At the end of our meal once we received our checks we found out that they had charged us for extra salsa dip and the extra chips. They also charged for the to go boxes and cups. But they do not tell you about this until you see your receipt and you ask about it. All in all it was not a good experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone you would do better to go...
