I cant post another review for some reason and just realized they commented again but heres the latest: The owner commented (which isnt the owner cuz I spoke to him myself over the phone and my friend Ryan actually came in one night and spoke to him) and said I “refused” to pay even though I paid them all of the cash I had on me which was roughly about $20-$25. Was short about $6 or so and asked a couple of ppl to spot me but couldn't which is fine cuz i dont expect them too. I received the services so I should be the one paying and I ALWAYS do. So how could I have refused to pay when I paid the majority of my tab and even offered to do ANYTHING I could to pay the rest. Not like I didnt have the money to pay the rest of my tab cuz I did. I offered if i could go somewhere to withdraw cash or send one of the bartenders money thru venmo, cashapp, etc. or even come in the next day to pay the rest (which I ended up doing and tipped BOTH bartenders). I was rudely yelled at and threatened to get the cops called on me since the only other payment method I had was apple pay (which their website and location details on google maps and apple maps both say they accept apple pay btw). Told them to go ahead and call the cops if that would make them feel better even though I knew they wouldnt be able to do anything which is what exactly happened.
Got the cops called on me over $5 that my “friend” couldnt spot me and they dont take apple pay so now im not allowed back :)
The owner contradicted themselves by first saying I “refused” then said something about how i could not nor would not when neither are the case cuz I did offer other alternatives to paying the rest of my tab but nothing was good enough. Maybe change the details on your website and google maps about accepting apply pay when you dont. Or maybe invest the money into getting a apple pay machine cuz A LOT of bars and places in...
Read moreWe've live near this establishment for many years, when it was still Molly's and then became Moon's Tavern. I've always wanted to go and last night we did. The patrons are friendly, staff courteous and helpful, and the ambiance just like you'd expect from a neighborhood "hole-in-the-wall". We didn't try the food but the beverages were tasty. We easily got a table near the band and were treated to a 20-year anniversary party with a couple that played classic rock tunes really well. Overall, it an inviting, fun place that hearkens back to bars of old that still had smoke in the air. Recommended if you're looking for that intimate, down-home vibe. There's lots of new flat screen TVs too if watching sports is your thing. The one pool table was busy the whole time we were there, but it was a special Friday...
Read moreHaven't been here in awhile, but I was a regular here for years. The bartenders are very friendly (Nicole, Heather, Holly, Kari to name a few current and past ones) and the owner Bob is awesome and even throws you some on the house occasionally. Great place to watch football on Sundays and they even do pick 'em pools during the season that are pretty fun.
I also love the random old school tunes people play on the jukebox. They have a pool table but I'm terrible at pool so never really played. The other regulars who go here are a bit older than me but they're pretty nice people.
Overall, if you're looking for a quaint dive to get to know people this is the place to go. Also love the random sports memorabilia adorning the walls. My only qualm is not enough Dolphins fans go here! It's...
