Oniku Japanese Cuisine & Hibachi — Restaurant in Florida

I really liked this place. It was my first time here and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered 4 of their skrau chicken bowls (chef’s special), an order of gyoza, a green salad, white sauce, and side order of steak. Everything was delicious and made fresh. They make the fried rice just like my husband likes it; no veggies with a small amount of egg. The bowl portion sizes were bigger than I expected especially since I figured the special would be a smaller sized portion bc it’s more affordable than the hibachi. Kind of random but I also like that they put the takeout in those reusable plastic containers rather than styrofoam. Steak was the only thing a bit on the skimp side but still delicious. We ordered through Ubereats and the food was still warm when it arrived. I appreciate them for providing the utensils and sauces as requested bc restaurants always “forget”. I paid for 3 white sauces and got 7 plus a free drink for spending more than $30. I can’t wait to try more...

I had such high hopes for this restaurant! My fiancé and I found this restaurant on our way home from Key West. We had called ahead. The phone system SUCKS! We placed our order. Two poke bowls and a side of plain salmon and steak and melted butter. We walk in and the young black girl is indifferent. All the cooks are illegal aliens! We pick up our food and go back to the car. My plain salmon and steak was covered in teriyaki sauce! Now I’m not trying to be difficult but I’m on a special diet. I had to run back in and have them cooked again. Both the illegal alien and black girl took offense to this. In fact, the illegal alien refused to give me melted butter. Service is terrible on multiple occasions. Front service girl is awful! Doesn't have any basic manners, let alone any customer service skills. It doesn't kill you to simply smile or say a simple hello to someone walking up to order! Ordered to go, was told 10 mins so went to winn dixie for 10 minutes, came back, was asked what was ordered, they just then started making our meal. Food is good other than obviously thrown together last minute. Pinnaple wontons has very little filling. On another occasion called in order, got there, it still wasn't ready, was handed part of the meal, while waiting for the rest to get done they came and took the food they already gave us saying they made a mistake and that that was supposed to go to a different customer, whom had just walked...
