As a Perdido resident, it pains me to say this place hasn't changed in 30 years. The views are beautiful. The service even better. But the menu reads like a nursing home cafeteria. And the execution is the same. Over salted boring dishes with no flair. I would return to get pics of the menu, but I can't afford to blow another $130. I would've gotten more ambitious menu choices at Red Lobster. And I haven't been there in 15 years. This place DESPERATELY needs a chef. Like a full on executive chef to rebrand their image. At 45 years old, I don't mind being the youngest person in the room. But at 7pm on a Friday night, if you're a resturauntuer with a waterfront view, liquor license, marina at your feet, in Florida, if your youngest customer (by at least 20 years) is a mid-40's couple - you're not doing it right. The popularity with the older generation supports my dated claim. I haven't been here since Gordon owned it, maybe 25 years ago. But there's still a dish with his name on it on the time capsule menu. I'd go on and on but I have to get to my cardiologist to make sure all that salt didn't do any permanent damage.

Anyone who's read my reviews could likely tell that I enjoy a treat, an enviable vibe, & an experience different than the everyday. Oyster Bar Restaurant could be all these things... exceptional location on the Mariana with sunset views highlighting the boats, a cool interior with wrap around patio seating, the location moments to exclusive hidden Perdido Key IYKYK spots. But sometimes, the reality is less opulent. We found this location to be somewhat unorganized, outdated for the clientele, staff overwhelmed and looking less than pleasant to be working, patrons tired of waiting, overpriced, and underwhelming. Bartenders were gracious, fast to pour, and enjoyable. The waiters were less enthusiastic and the hustle appeared more of a grind. For an Oyster restaurant to be out of oysters, it's a certain disappointment. Our waitress made some major misteps but the food was fine, just not special. The appetizer and meal presentation was average & priced on the higher end for the quality. Maybe on another day it will shine... just not the day I visited. And I will likely never return.

We walked in for dinner despite a really busy Friday night. They told us it would be an hour plus. Reserved to the bar we had cocktails which were very good and quickly presented. Ten minutes later we were seated in the far corner of the inside dining. Service was busy at this time so be prepared for a leisurely meal. Momma T took care of us and did a great job as well as being super friendly. She reminded me a little of my grandmother but a much younger version. We skipped appetizers and went for the mahi salad and oysters rockefeller. Our friends had side salads, fried snapper and sautéed crab claws. The best dish by far was the sautéed crab claws in a butter, heavy cream sauce. Just a hit of crystal made them the best Ive ever had. -1 Mgmt should maybe consider sound suppression tiles in the dining area. Really noisy at times. We will definitely be going back on our next trip. Urban Cowgill June 2022

Completely disappointed. Waitress did her best but did not have the best support from kitchen. I did like the Chicken Tenders, I have to say. Would never have ordered those if not for severe lack of other ingredients that I could eat. Probably my fault for going there wanting a mullet dinner when mullet are so scarce right now. I could have gone for the pan-fried red snapper, but they were out of that. Couldn't have stuffed flounder because the "stuffing" was mostly crab and shrimp, hardly any actual stuffing (I'm allergic to shellfish.) Fries were decent, at least edible. No hushpuppies (what's a seafood dinner without hushpuppies?) Cheese grits were strangely dry with a weird flavor and I believe those were supposed to be bacon pieces in the grits. Neither my husband nor myself were able to eat even a third of the portion of grits, which would have been a generous portion if we could eat them. Such as they were, it was just a waste. The key lime pie had better flavor than some we had at the catfish place recently, but the cardboard crust was horrible and the filling had a weird jello-like consistency rather than a custard-like one. (The key lime pie at the catfish place had a lack of key lime flavor but at least the consistency was correct, and the Graham cracker crust was very nice.)

All in all, the Oyster Bar Restaurant was a let-down, very disappointing and definitely NOT Worth...

6 years of coming here while on vacation. Never been treated this way by the outside bar staff before. My wife and I came here last Saturday afternoon after traveling 10 hrs and all was fine. Came back this past Tuesday evening and brought friends. Bragged about this being our go to place. Upon arriving at the outside bar we had an unfriendly greeting from the young lady working. Made us feel unwelcome and being a burden. We arrived at 7 and they do last seating at 9. We agreed to stay to eat and have several drinks. After paying a $362 tab and leaving this young lady a $100 tip, she miraculously became very friendly. We returned back this evening for our last night of stay. We received the same greeting from the young man at the outside bar. My wife and friend only ordered a drink but no food. My son and I had already ordered appetizers or we wouldve left. The attitude and greeting was very undeserved and very much not appreciated. Very doubtful we will return to this establishment, which is sad! I did speak to the shift manager tonight and she assured it will be handled. I certainly hope so or this business will not last. Business is business and peoples hard earned money should mean more than this. What a shame we’re leaving tomorrow with this bad...

WORST SERVICE EVER! My family and I arrived for dinner around 6:00 on a Sunday. We had to wait over 45 minutes for a table even though there were a ton of empty tables during our entire wait. After we were finally seated, we sat at the table for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. I had to ask a passing server who our server was. When our server finally came, we ordered drinks and our meals. It took at least another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The server didn't know which iced teas were sweet and unsweet and just handed them to us to figure out. After being there for 50 minutes, I had to ask the hostess where our server went because we still had not received our salads. When the server finally brought them out, he said there was no one there making salads, even though the customers seated after us had already gotten theirs. One of our salads was missing dressing, one had onions when we asked for no onions, and one salad didn't even come out. We were there well over an hour before we got our dinner. The server dropped some of our calamari on the floor and table. He never stopped by to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. We had to ask for straws, silverware, and refills. He didn't even give us a pen for the check. We will...
