Let me begin by stating that Party Cake bakery has been one of my favorite Cuban bakeries for years. It is unfortunate that on too many occasions I find that the staff members do NOT wear gloves when serving their customers. They often touch their faces and their body to only touch the serving tongs….GROSS! Yesterday, honestly was my last time visiting this bakery! Why? Well, their “baker” went from his station straight to the bathroom with black gloves on, opened the bathroom door with his gloves on and came back out of the bathroom with the same gloves on! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING & UNACCEPTABLE! I have video to prove this nasty behavior! When I immediately mention to the staff member, she walks over to him almost in fear of his reaction and tells him that I just saw what he did and he got offended! 😳 Offended? Stated that he went to the bathroom to talk on the phone? Really? No sir, you’re just a NASTY old guy! He of course then took off the gloves and washed his hands but only after he got CAUGHT! Yall, this is truly pathetic! I tried reaching out to management and the owners of the bakery and unfortunately, their contact information is hidden and or...
Read moreOver priced food for measly portions with no care put into the preparation. You can get a way better cheaper breakfast right next door at the Jugera Tropical. Food here was better 15 years ago so this was not always the case but recently has gone down hill. This spot has been a local dine in option for many around the area because of it's long standing with the community. My family frequently come here always boasting about how long they've been in service and how this establishment had a bit of nostalgia for them. Though that's all this bakery has to offer is nostalgia of a bygone era. Employees always rush you and are not accommodating what so ever. They always get something wrong with the order and always look down at you as if it was your fault. Everything is marked up because there customer base are so use to going they'll pay anything without a thought. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF I...
Read moreFood is what you'd expect from a Miami based bakery, pretty solid, nothing unusual. Pricing is pretty good $8 for 4 croquetas, couple pastries, a Cuban bread and a café con leche. But the service is just weird. Complicated ordering system, menu small font far and hard to read, complicated food delivery system especially for take out, customers lost not knowing where to go. Etc. Place looks good but not sure I felt welcomed, it looks hip but runs at 1mph .
UPDATE MARCH 2019
Service continues to be extremely slow taking 10 to 15 minutes for simple bakery orders FOR ITEMS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE. There's more people on the other side of the counter than customers and yet we all have to wait for them. Do...
