I didn’t even go to this Popeyes too order food, I went to pick food up for delivery. First of all this location is very difficult to see. the parking lot desperately needs to be cleaned up and lit up, there are no street lights. The outside of the restaurant was completely dark, I thought they were closed. I parked the car and walked up to the side door, which was locked. However, the employee that was working did see me, and she pointed for me to go to the drive-through window. I was fairly close to that window walked over and opened it, then proceeded to tell me that I’m going to have to cancel the order because they were out of what the customer ordered – which was spicy tenders. Seems to me that would be one of the items that they would keep going throughout the night pretty consistently. So I told her thank you, but then I thought about it, and turned around, knocked on the drive-through window again to which she looked, annoyed, open the window again, and I asked if there was any thing they could substitute and she said no we’re out. So I asked you mean you want to close? And she said no, we’re OUT. So you’re telling me, that there is nothing that you guys have made that you could substitute the tenders for??? Whether that be a sandwich, or whatever else is on your menu?? Unfortunately, I had to have that order canceled. Funny thing is while I was talking to customer service about canceling the order, I sat in the parking lot for a minute. When I left, I went around the backside of the building, and that very same employee was standing outside with her purse slung over her shoulder. That definitely looked like she was going home to me. I feel it’s pretty safe to say the service sucks here, the atmosphere I’m not really sure I didn’t go inside and I didn’t even get a chance to look at the food because they didn’t have anything apparently. If you want chicken, I’m pretty sure there’s another Popeyes in S Tampa, try that...

Several glasses of tea and days later, I find a whole beetle in the tea. 2/3 of the tea is gone because we drank it but with the next glass pour out comes a "June Bug" is what we called them in Tennessee, but what it clearly was is a beetle! 😲 It's my fault. I should have told the wife NOT to go to this location!
UPDATE: 7/21/21 - The speaker doesn't work. There's a note taped over the speaker telling you that it's out of order and to pull forward. The crazy thing is that the line moved a lot faster than any of the last several times I've ordered food at this location, maybe faster than any other time. How is that possible?
The lines are always long and SLOW, and usually the employees have attitudes. Not this time. It only took 8 minutes. That's pretty much a record and I'm not even joking. Top that off with this, the young woman at the window was pleasant, while talking to me at least, but when she turned her back to speak to her co-workers I could hear that attitude express itself. So for whatever reason she spoke nicely to me but the typical way after she turned around. Maybe she didn't know I could hear what she was saying. It doesn't matter though because it's the face that's presented to the customer that I'm concerned with and even if it's a fake-pleasant that says there's an effort to improve customer service. This was a 4 STAR visit. Keep working on those improvements ladies, they are being noticed. Love the food. Love the sweet tea. Love the location. Hate the...
Read moreI had not been to this location in a while but stopped by at 3:50 on my way home from work today to buy dinner for my family. I pulled in to find only one car in the parking lot that had an employee standing by talking to the people inside. I went inside to order since I was not sure what I wanted. At the counter a girl working the drive thru looked at me and said she would not be able to take my order for at least 10-15 minutes. I was confused since I was the only one in there and there was a total of three employees behind the counter. The warmer was full of chicken. I'm thinking to myself if I wait 15 minutes to get my order taken. I'm going to get the cold chicken that's been sitting there. And why can they not take my order for 15 minutes. I looked at another employee and asked if I did hear it correct that they could not take my order for a 10 to 15 minutes and she said yes. The girl in the drive-thru looked at her and said "do not take her order". No explanation as to what was going on and why they could not take my order. Very rude. I have no idea what was going on inside that restaurant and why they felt they couldn't take any orders for 10 to 15 minutes but I was absolutely floored that they would speak to a customer that way.. definitely will not be visiting that Popeyes chicken ever again. These people want $15 an hour to work in fast food yet they can't even do the minimum of taking somebody's order. Attitudes and behavior like this from employees are the reason that this location will eventually be shut down and go out...
