Being new in town, I want to try something to remind me of home. I found La Pita on a search and went for it. The location is a quiet shopping center with other stores. The store itself was clean with a clear nice looking menu with plenty of options. I got a chance to speak with the owner (I am so sorry I forgot your name), she was an absolute angel. She described her background and passion of the food. She made it clear that she cooks the same for customers as she does her own family and how her mother taught her. This was very clear in the taste, freshness, and overall love put into the dish. I got the Chicken Shawarma with everything on it. Coming from a middle eastern background this was one of if not THE BEST chicken shawarma I have ever had (I've tried a lot, even ones from Lebanon). The chicken was delicious combined with the garlic sauce (or as we call toum) and other toppings. It was seriously the most flavorful and fresh shawarma ever. If you are in the area, passing by, or even far away; this place is a must try and will be my stop of choice when I need/want delicious authentic food and also a very sweet welcoming owner and her kids who work together with her to show great recognition for authentic middle eastern food.
P.s. try the kibbeh also! it is another 10/10. made fresh to order and also...
Read moreI got the lamb platter. The lamb was cooked perfectly and very tender. But I guess the Lebanese version has a lot of specific spices which isn't my favorite way of eating lamb kabobs. I prefer very little spice and plenty of char flavor. So for me it was just a preference thing. But the lamb was good.
Yellow rice was good and the platter came with a nice fresh, crisp salad.
I was so hungry I ordered a side of the cubed fried potatoes with garlic, cilantro, and red pepper to eat on my way home. It as tasty, but instead of being freshly fried it had already been cooked and then warmed in the microwave. I try to avoid microwaved foods for several reasons. And fried potatoes lose all the crispy benefits you get from frying.
The people there were very nice, friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The kitchen looked pretty clean...And I looked because some suspicious reviewers had mentioned the lack of cleanliness. There were a few spots in the dining room that could use some extra attention. But it was near the front door area that needed some scrubbing..or maybe it was the bottom of the door...can't remember. But nothing...

I called in an order and the owner was very pleasant over the phone. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes.
I noticed that the restaurant was clean and offered seating when I arrived, which makes it a good place to grab lunch.
I was excited when I saw the gyro spits, which means I'll be trying the gyros next.
The owners (presumably husband and wife) were there, and they were very friendly and engaged in light conversion. The order was ready and accurate.
I tried the spinach pie, meat pie, baba ghanough, batata hara, hummus. and the chicken shwarma.
The potatoes were flavorful with a little kick and the baba had a nice smoky flavor.
The hummus was creamy and had a nice balance of flavor and both the spinach and meat pies were very flavorful.
My only complaint would be that the chicken was a little dry; however, it was very well seasoned and came with sauces, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
I highly recommend giving this place a try if you like Mediterranean food! I'll...
