My experience here was bittersweet. My daughter ( Slaynâ Shaayy ) and I first went to Loann Nails on December 23, 2023 because my daughter wanted to get our nails done for Christmas. I got a colored acrylic, no polish and my daughter got an acrylic overlay with gel polish on our NATURAL nails. Kim did my nails and I asked for a thin layer of acrylic on my natural nail and she said that she would file it downand it would be thin. It wasnât. After only a week of having my nails done they looked like I it had been weeks and they were bulky. We were going to go to a different nail salon for the fill-in but decided to give them another shot. We figured that they were just rushing the first time due to the holiday crowd. Well unfortunately that wasnât the case. I was charged extra for a fill-in because they said that they had to repair broken nails and had to build them. That wasnât the case! My NATURAL nails were still intact. The only thing that was broken was the acrylic on 3 of my nails. There was nothing to repair. There were no extra steps involved. The same amount of acrylic was applied to my nails in the same process that was done on my daughter so I didnât understand that extra charge. I was accused of waiting 2 months before getting a fill-in and of breaking my nails at work. I told her that I didnât wait 2 months, we were just there for Christmas and Iâm a rideshare driver so thereâs no manual labor involved in my job. Also again none of my natural nails were broken, only the acrylic. Kim did the polish on my daughterâs nails and for Kim to have been in business 20 years as she says, it doesnât show in her work. My daughter has also left a review, with pictures. The woman that did my nails did a better job but still not great. WE WONâT BE BACK!! UPDATE: My daughter went to another nail salon and they even said her nails looked like they had been rushed. They drilled and shaped them perfectly! Unfortunately she had to pay more money just to get them...
Read moreAs a licensed esthetician and certified cosmetologist I expected more then what I received ! As my first experience at this nail salon Everyone was nice but I expected a more thorough job on my pedicure manicure I ask for short nails and was not as short as I liked it, my cuticles were not pushed back and look choppy.. I ask for clear polish and even though she place a based coat first and 2 layers of clear coat,, my nails still looked as if I don't have any clear polish and the minute I left salon polish quickly faded away as if I have no polish ! they seem more concern about gauging ther clients for higher priced services, without giving you quality treatment or better products than for the price they are charging ! I specifically asked to SHAPE my eyebrows with an arch and although they are cleaned up they were not shaped as i requested... It seems to be the common practice with all nail salons that they do not pay attention what the client are asking for,, and they seem do what ever they want ! And then expect you to pay for services that are not satisfactory to the client ..there are too many nail salons competeing for customers I have had better service in cosmetology schools! For half the price!! ! ,,,I can't afford to waste money on nail services that I'm not happy with !! Will not return here again , waste of money , sadly it seems ALL nail salons are expecting to charge higher prices without better product and without better nail services. Sadly most nail salons don't put as much effort and care into their male clients as they do the females as if we don't care if that was the case we wouldny be seeking...
Read moreWhen I first arrived at the salon I like the atmosphere I had a pedicure my pedicure was done by one of the ladies in the back I donât remember her name she was very nice and she did a good job on my toes. I was referred to her by another client that works at trulieve. She told me to ask for Kimmy Laura or Tarina. Kimmy ended up being the one doing my nails very nice girl I specifically told her that I want it feels and one of my nails painted with polish so that I could remove the paint if I wanted to she did polish my nails and put a clear coat on top and put my nails under a UV machine. I paid $120 for my nails. A week later I tried to remove the polish off of my nails I couldnât get it off come to find out she put gel over top of my paint so that I would not be able to remove the paint and polish my nails myself when I called her back she was very rude and she wanted to charge me $80 just to remove the paint off of my nails I do not like to be lied to when I specifically told you that I wanted to get the paint off myself I would not return to her salon and I did not like her attitude she was not the same person that I dealt with when I got my nails done so ladies be careful because if you get gel on your nails you will have to pay $80 to get your nails repainted or to make them clear This is a...
