Saki Japanese Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

Saki Japanese Kitchen used to be a little gem of a place with solid sushi and good service at a reasonable price. However, that has changed. My last few experiences at Saki have left me disappointed with the service and frankly, the quality of the food. It's August and season with its crowds is still off in the distance, so I can't understand why this establishment can't provide timely service to seated patrons. Waiting twenty plus minutes to get menus and see the waiter is crazy. Seeing him disappear again for another fifteen minutes before he came back to take our order is even crazier. I then received the wrong sushi roll just to further wait for the correct sushi roll to finally show up. All this is bad enough, but having the bill arrive charging me with both the incorrect sent back item and my correct order was the final straw. BUT, the real nail in the coffin for me with this place is having the waiter acknowledge that he knew it was wrong when he gave me the bill. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saki Japanese Kitchen in Naples, Florida, and it was an unforgettable experience. Having traveled extensively and sampled cuisines worldwide, I can confidently say that the quality of the sashimi here is unparalleled.

From the moment we arrived, our server Abby provided impeccable service. Her timing was perfect, ensuring that each dish was delivered exactly when expected, maintaining its optimal freshness and temperature. The sashimi cuts were exquisite – the best I've had since my time living in Asia. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was absolutely stunning, as seen in the attached image.

This one is difficult to review.

Food is solid 4 stars. good sushi which keeps me coming back. so I kept the stars at 4.

Service is 2.5 stars. while the girls have good service, the estimated time to receiving food (take out or eat in... I usually ask how long is wait to eat in as well as take out). they are very wrong with estimates at least half the time. when im quoted 30 min for take out, it is 45 min+. when i eat in and told it will be 30 min, I've had to wait 50 min. it really is unpredictable. I suspect they pad the estimates as to not lose business. but they have definitely lost business from me due to inaccuracy in time. kids often as for saki but have to say we can't because we are on a schedule.... I would be much happier to hear honest time and decide not to order, than to wait up to...
