This is for the Collier Blvd location only. All other Skillets I'd rate five stars. We frequent Skillets and have been to almost all of the other locations. We were so excited when this location opened because it is a lot closer to our home. We are almost to the point where we're going to give up and just go back to the Airport Rd location as our main one. The service at Collier is significantly less quality. It is quite slow. We're never in a hurry, but sometimes we end up getting irritated that it takes so long to get waited on. Also their cooks don't understand eggs over medium. The last three times the whites have been quite runny. I let the waitress know and she brings me a new egg. The whites have been cooked but the outside was completely scorched. I'd rather have it that way than runny whites so I just eat it. But there is an in between. It's possible to cook eggs and not scorch the entire outside of the egg just to get the whites cooked through. I don't have that problem at other locations. The good thing is they don't give an attitude if you need something corrected. So in that sense the service is good, as it is at all Skillets locations. But the service here can be slow, especially at times when it is not busy. Service when it's busy in the restaurant seems to be better than when it's not busy. Maybe their best people work the busy times so that's why service is better then. Skillets in general is great. Very good menu. All products made in house. I am gluten free and they have a lot of gluten free options other than just plain ol' eggs, so that's why we go there so much. I wish they had gluten free bread though. Since all of their items are made in house they don't have a gluten free bread. I think they're working on that, or I hope...

#1 - First waitress takes drink order....then another waitress comes by for our drink order and takes it again. Drops off a carafe of water that we say we don't need and she leaves it there anyway. Gets the drink order wrong for two adults and two kids.
#2 We get our breakfast and the adults each get one slice of toast (kind of odd, but ok), and my toast is perfect on one side and not toasted on the other. Guess which side was up on my plate. My wife's toast was good on one side and burnt in the other. Again, guess which side was up. When she comes back I point out the toast and she goes and gets two more slices that are toasted correctly.
#3. I ordered a French Omelette, which was good except that the sun dried tomato hollandaise is just regular hollandaise. I didn't comment because it is obvious that the cook didn't care.
#4. We finish and go up front to pay. The hostess asks how are meal was and I tell her it was a pretty poor effort by the kitchen. She whispers very quietly, "Sorry." And that's it. I stand there while she continues to take my credit card in silence and then finally say, "I can tell you're really concerned." To which she looks up and says, "Well, what do you want me to do about it? I'm only the hostess!" My response, "Then why did you ask?" An even snarkier, "Do you want to see the manager?" Nope. I'm done with this place.
Crappy food....Crappy...
Read moreI've been writing reviews for what feels like an eternity, and this experience was the ultimate mic drop moment – one of the most ridiculously uplifting meals I've ever had the pleasure of devouring! From the get-go, walking into the restaurant was like stepping into a radiant wonderland, immaculately clean and gleaming like a diamond in the rough. Cynthia, the manager extraordinaire, seated my crew and me at a table that screamed 'lovely,' setting the tone for an epicurean adventure that would leave us all weak in the knees. Our waitress Carla was the epitome of patience and attentiveness, dishing out answers to our plethora of questions with genuine passion and flair. The team-based approach was like a well-oiled machine – seamless, efficient, and downright impressive. What really stole the show, though, was the staff's harmonious collaboration – it was like watching a beautifully choreographed dance, minus the awkwardness. Having tried more breakfast spots than I care to admit, I'm convinced this one's the crème de la crème. I'm salivating at the prospect of returning and reliving the magic, and I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that others will be equally enamored with...
