This review is directed to the owners… We just had one of the most rudest encounters with a so-called manager. The date of reference is February 21, 2025 at approximately 2 PM My husband who is 76 years old is a stage four cancer patient. We are here visiting from New Jersey. His alarm was sounding as a reminder to take medication. So after placing our order, we requested water to drink The cashier handed us two small plastic glasses. We walked away, thinking we would find water on the counter. My husband was unable to find the water and so he filled his glass with the first thing that he found, which was tea so he could take his meds. He didn’t realize that he had to press a button that said water on the soda machine. Nor was this mentioned to us when handed the glass. Meanwhile, he only filled his glass halfway with tea. It happened to be hot so he added ice to it now it was about 3/4 full. A small little water glass! He left the table to go to the bathroom. Then this woman who is your manager, came over to the table, grabbed the glass with tea, placed a water glass down, filled with water and said you didn’t pay for the tea so here’s your water and she took it and threw it away, the tea that is. A site for all to see. After we ate, I went to confront her and tell her how rude she was acting as if we purposely ordered water so we didn’t have to pay for tea, and I explained to her that he needed a drink to take his medication. Did she care? Oh hell no she laughed in my face and said oh well at least he got his water. I’m sorry, but this type of personnel needs Sensitivity training and they should not be in a management position. On another note, he is a Viet Nam Vet which was obvious to all because of the hat he was wearing. Several diners came over to shake his hand and thank him for...
Read moreWe wanted to have Greek Gyros for dinner before our movie and had not tried Olive Tree Greek Grill. The line was short and it wasn't crowded. We ordered the Shish ke bab and the gyro dinners with one sparkling water and one free water. This came with lentil soup. This was pretty much fast food and over $40. The soup was served in a paper bowl and the utensils were plastic. The soup was fabulous. So, I get inflation, but for $40 we shouldn't be eating out of dispensable utensils and tableware, but I suppose it is just fast food. The Gyro came with long cone cut lamb over rice. The pita was served separately so you had to cut it open, with a plastic knife no less, and insert the lamb, sauce and rice to make your own gyro sort of like a taco, but Greek. I've been to Greece a few times and gyros weren't served that way. Nevertheless, the lamb was very good. But the gyro dinners didn't come with any vegetables. I had to grab those from my partner's plate. The garlic sauce made the whole thing moist and delicious. While the food was good, for the price, even though it's fast food, I expected it to come pre-made, as even in sit down service restaurants, you don't have to assemble the gyro. Overall the food was great, but expect to work like you do when you eat lobster, it's an effort. Too bad there aren't metal knives to make it easier. Not a definite must see, but worth a try once to see for yourself. Also the air-condition was next to non-existent, so that's atypical as most restaurants that keep it super cold do so to increase turnover. By the time we left it was crowded so, perhaps my impression was not to common....
Read moreSubject: Negative Customer Service Experience at the Melbourne Location
Dear Representatives,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I recently had at your Melbourne location. I am a nurse by profession, and I understand the importance of providing quality customer service that accommodates individual needs.
During my visit, I requested a children’s menu because I have undergone gastric bypass surgery and cannot consume large amounts of food. The manager, named Samantha(blonde hair),informed me that it was not possible to sell me a children’s menu. When I clarified that I wanted the order to-go, the response remained negative. Even when I mentioned that it was for my child who was at home, she once again refused, stating that I had already mentioned it was for me.
The situation became particularly uncomfortable when, after an awkward exchange in front of other customers, they served my husband’s food but not mine, stating they needed to ensure my order was indeed to-go. I ultimately had to request a credit for the food, which left a bad impression from this experience.
I want to be clear that my intention was not to take advantage of the children’s menu price but rather to avoid wasting food. I firmly believe that, in situations like this, a more flexible approach to company policies should be applied, considering that each case is different.
I hope you take this feedback into consideration and work toward improving staff training to provide more professional, understanding, and competent customer service.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this...
