Because of all the positive reviews on next-door, Paul and I decided to have a Friday night dinner at Bella Trattoria. They are in the process of changing their name to the Sopranos because there is a new owner. In the meantime, we were seated immediately with a reservation And the place was buzzing. Maria was our server, and it turned out that this was her first day working here. I knew she was not a novice because she was too experienced for that. She had been working in Deerfield Beach and wanted to be Closer to home. At first we ordered a half carafe of a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon wine, which was only $15. It was definitely more than two glasses apiece for each of us. Then they brought out a magnificent focaccia bread with a plate of garlic olive oil;, the bread was warm and delicious and very seasoned. I then had a very fresh crisp salad. I went on to order a Bronzino fish with spaghetti. It was a huge, generous portion of fish under a mound of spaghetti and their famous sauce. I took home half of tonight’s dinner, and I am very much looking forward to eating it. We couldn’t leave without having their Brulé cheesecake which was luscious and decaf cappuccinos. Paul enjoyed a very generous portion of pasta Amatriciana Scallops. They do have a loyalty program. However because of the changeover to new owners, it won’t be operational until the next time I probably come in for dinner. I was told to bring this receipt and they will add on the points. We were very happy coming here last night and meeting One of the owners who was definitely schmoozing the customers and helping in any which way he could. We look forward to coming back and I wish them a...
Read moreLet me start by saying that i do like the food here, But this 1 experience will have me going elsewhere. I ordered a Large white pizza over the phone for pick-up. I forgot to order a salad so i called back....5 times (literally) and each time they would put me on hold (not even acknowledge the call) the phone would disconnect. I called a sixth time and when they picked up the phone and simply said "Please hold" i interrupted the girl saying that i was hung up on 5 other times. She assured me the phone wouldn't hang up and i would be put on hold and i would "hear music"...guess what the staff has no idea how to put people on hold because, you guessed it, i was hung up on for the 6th time.
So i drove down and figured that i would order the salad when i got there. i ordered a salad and they told me they only have LARGE salad (Which is def NOT a large) and it was $17 for a greek salad. i wanted grilled chicken which made it even more. I paid and said "Well i won't be ordering that anymore". A large pizza and a salad was $54.00.....$54.00!!!!
Looks like they are trying to bring the "New York" high prices to Florida. (If New York was so great you wouldn't be here i might remind you)
Then ON TOP OF ALL THAT, i waited 26 minutes for them to make me a salad while taking care of heavens waiting room in the dining area.
No apology for the wait, nothing...i was told "Here you go". Sooo, Plenty of other Italian places that won't Gouge your pockets with their "NY" Prices, and when i got home....you guessed it the pizza was cold.
You aren't missing out here.....to dine in you need to be 80+ years of age to begin with. Just keep it...
Read moreWe were a party of 6 adults & 2 toddlers and they were very accommodating. We made reservations and the next day I needed to change the amount of people They had no problem fitting our larger group. I’ll start with the good- The food of course was fabulous Not one of us had a complaint & enjoyed the meal. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. All the staff were very nice and efficient as well! The cons- There was a very large party behind us They assumed the place was all theirs and didn’t sit down for awhile This left us being hit in the back of our heads constantly-plus the noise was a lot. They were simply rude! Now this wasn’t 100% the restaurants fault but a manager should have asked the party to sit as they were disturbing the whole place. Upon ordering we wanted to order some beers & wine- which they have had in the past-we were told they could no longer serve beer or wine. This was a celebration for our family and we were extremely disappointed I only wish they had told us when just 2 days before we made the reservation. Being in the business we are aware your beverage license doesn’t get taken for NO reason. So this left us wondering WHY? Not sure if we’ll return not knowing what they did to lose the license and if they will even be able to get it back. Just a warning if you like to partake in wine or beer with dinner you can’t get it here- as of right...
