While traveling to Pt. St Lucie for a few days in the Florida sun we decided to make this our first meal in Florida seafood. We went out of our way to find a locally owned place to have lunch. Needless to say, we were not impressed. When we arrived at 115 on a regular Monday there were only three cars in the parking lot. That should have been a red flag.

With 2 adults and four children our orders were pretty benign. Clam strips, grilled fish, popcorn shrimp...nothing fancy for a place who in their "About Us" section of their website describe themselves as "What We're About St. Mary's Seafood & More offers delicious fresh oysters, clams, shrimp, crabs, and fish". However, with only three other tables in the entire restaurant they couldn't get our order to the table either hot or at the same time. They couldn't even get all of the french fries to the table at the same time...at lunch time! Some were just out of the fryer while others were undercooked and others were overcooked, some didn't even arrive until well after the other food arrived.

The 'service' seemed to be ambivalent and even though they literally couldn't get half my order (you know, clam strips) to the table until the rest of my party had finished (you know it took forever because kids take for ever to eat) the 'server' was nonplussed about the total failure of the underwhelmed kitchen service.

While the seafood itself was good, none of the sides that I had (french fries notwithstanding) rice pilaf and cole slaw were memorable save for the fact that they weren't particularly special.

If you find yourself in the area wanting good food with good service, you can...

Three very poor meals in 1. 1/2 weeks. We are in the process of moving so we are eating out more than usual. First TERRIBLE meal I didn’t eat was a stuffed flounder with a crab cake. That was no crab cake !!! The entire meal was disgusting and I could not eat it. The waitress never noticed the full plate going back to the kitchen and I didn’t eat it. Just a job for her. Second meal.... shrimp and scallops combo. Cold. Third was last night..,.. chicken Alfredo..... chicken was tough, pasta was uncooked/ brown and rather tasteless. I think they have new cooks because this used to be a decent place to eat. The manager spent more time defending her restaurant than being helpful. With that attitude she will never make a GUEST happy. Unfortunately it’s about them. I’ve lost over $100 in food in three meals/ tips. I am done with this restaurant . They don’t know how to cook nor be responsible for their poorly cooked food. Unfortunate to be treated rudely. She offered me a $10% coupon. STAY AWAY. Two Forks up the road is consistent, quality food and respectful.

Went back last week for the first time with friends. The meal was good and we had a fun time.( 4 months later. My husband and I went today and I spent $17. On scallops and fish. I’m from Cape Cod. The scallops did not taste like scallops and the fish wasn’t great. The manager asked me not to come back because of the above review and she exaggerated many things. How this verbally abusive woman got that job is amazing. Guess they like her yelling at...

We came in at either the start of or during dinner rush. We didn’t want a high top so we opted to wait the ten to fifteen minutes. While waiting a few other groups came in as well.

I’d talk atmosphere, but there wasn’t one. A few spread out pictures, a couple anchors, and a large fish on the wall is the only way you knew this was a seafood restaurant. What stood out the most in the room was the bar. But the clientele certainly isn’t that of a bar.

The waitress we had was courteous. She gave us plenty of time to figure out what we wanted. A missed opportunity on her part was suggesting drinks and food. It’s usually what most do when they see you ‘struggling’ to figure out what you want (let’s face it when you’re hungry it all looks good).

The alcoholic drink we picked wasn’t fantastic. But, it must have had better liquor in it because I left feeling as if I’d had a couple drinks. My other half and I split one drink. So, I’ll accept the $12 price tag for such a small glass of alcohol.

Dinner itself was fried foods. Shrimp, fish, clams, gator tail, and fries. The fish kept slipping out of its breading. Without that breading it tasted like frozen fish from the dinner isle at the grocery store. The shrimp tasted like most other places. The clam and gator was tasty. They are things you usually don’t find. The fries were to crunchy for us to enjoy.

If we’re in the area and have a hankering for gator or clams we’ll come back, but we wouldn’t go...

It is a hidden jim just of I-95, inside and outside seating to accommodate your seating preferences and your party size. Staff are friendly, the menu is full of good options, and the portions are just right. Check out their daily specials.

Honestly, I have been to so many more restaurants where the food was better for a lot less. The server was nice but he really sucked at his job. I had to go get napkins, condiments and other stuff that he should have remembered to get, especially if we asked him for those items. The food was bland and had a fishy taste and smell. I couldnt break my fish up with my fork because it was so rubbery. You could see it was obviously frozen and no real effort was put into the presentation. Then to make matters worse, they included an "inflation fee" to the bill. No advanced notice, not choice in paying it. What a complete rip off. I had an argument on the phone with the owner over this. His excuse was that he needed the money so he was going to charge whatever fee he wanted to. I felt that is all he cared about was getting as much money as he could. The waiters and waitresses all expressed their understanding that it was wrong and none of them expressed any happiness in the owners attitude. I will not go back to a business that places money above everything else.
