A True Hidden Gem! As future full-time residents, we're trying out different eateries on our trips in that area and found this true hidden gem in a strip mall off of Tamiami Trail. Inside is cozy with booths down the sides and tables in the center. Clearly this is a place that locals visit often as many are greeted by name and the super friendly servers already know what they want to order. Breakfast, lunch and dinner specials are posted on white boards and additional specials are on cards on the tables. And Specials they are! We both opted for the Western Omelet with Cheese, homefries and rye toast for just $7.99!! As our server left our table after taking our order, she said our meals would be right out. No joke, it was only a couple minutes and our meals were placed in front of us, steaming, piping hot. The omelet was abundantly loaded with ham, onion, sweet peppers and cheese. The potatoes, with a little onion, had been finished on the flat top with nice crunchy goodness on the outside and tender inside. Toast is toast? No. This rye is thick like Texas toast, toasted perfectly and soft inside, loaded up nicely with butter. A good flavor selection of jelly packs on the table made it even better - not the usual Mixed Fruit variety. Our server was very attentive, checking back with us often to see if we needed anything and refilled iced teas and water. Talk about value! Other specials for $8.99 even include your coffee. Lunch and dinner specials in the $11.99 to $14.99 range include soup or salad AND desert. This will become one of our regular stops in the future and worthy of your visit. You'll...

I'm giving this restaurant one star - because ZERO stars is not an option. The bacon for the kids meal was half raw, we ordered a side order of bacon, when served, it had clearly been cooked in the microwave. The home fries were bland and cold. And to top it all off, an egg yolk for one of the breakfasts was white, not yellow, it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. My grandson barely touched his food as a result. They took about $1.00 off a $7.00 breakfast. When I questioned the bill because the numbers didn't add up, the head waitress/manager was rude and actually made the comment "I didn't realize you were going to add the check up, so I didn't put the price on it", YUP, she actually said that. They made it seem as though they were going to take the entire breakfast off, but only credited back $1.00 because of the spoiled egg even though, for the consumer, the entire breakfast was spoiled. Customer satisfaction is not a concern for this establishment, I guess they have a big enough following, new patron satisfaction is not a concern. Needless to say, we will not be back and definitely will not recommend...

I wouldn’t even give them a star have been there a couple times prices are great and people are nice that I thought they were but today I go in there everything is fine and then I get my food go to eat my bacon and what do I see a very long hair wrapped around my bacon so I think ok I’ll just ask for another plate mind you I can hear the cook yelling about it isn’t from them I had to be from me but my hair is all back in a bun and then they bring my new meal and I go for the eggs this time and I cut open my egg and I see a another hair so I call them over and show them and pull it to show them that is cooked inside of the egg and they go on the defensive that they have never had that and there is no way mind you they seen it come from out of the middle of the cooked egg and they referring that I must of put the hair in both my plates of food that I haven’t even eaten at all so I won’t be going back I would of been mine if it was sitting on top of all the food not cooked into it they were very rude to me about it and I was being very understanding but of course I...

Easy to find, lots of parking but the restaurant is VERY small. It was packed with people which told me it was popular. To many people in such a small space. I took my 80+ year old mother there and she was not comfortable with the size of the room and the number of people. We ended up leaving and having to go eat somewhere else.

Family owned and operated, home cooking and friendly service. The staff here treat d us like family from the moment we walked in. The portions for breakfast are nicely sized and everything was exactly like I requested. I can't wait till I'm in the area again, because this is another satisfied customer.
