I've been a supporter of Stella's since day one. I love their pies but they've been a bit inconsistent over the years and with all the options these days, they're not my go-to anymore. That said, I try and show them love every once and a while and last night was a prime example. I called about 8:15 to place a pick-up. The lady who answered seemed annoyed as if I'm calling right before they close for some big order. All I got was an XL pie and a dozen garlic rolls. The woman seemed almost reluctant to take my order.
I get to the restaurant to pick-up and it seems I'm the last soul on earth in this place. I guess they like to close early but again, this was 8:15 on a Thursday. I drop $42 on a pie and some rolls, and I don't have any issue with their prices but pretend you care about my business. The lady hands me the pie and I say "thank you" because I'm a decent person on most days and she had the nerve to hit me with the "yup."
Are you freaking kidding me? Yup? Like I've inconvenienced you so much that I'm fortunate enough to be your customer? Needless to say, the rolls they gave me were cold and probably sitting well before I put my order in. The pie was fine but between the incredible lack of professionalism and half-ass order, I don't think I can show them love anymore.
If the owner reads this, I don't want a refund or a free pie or anything like that. I didn't write this review to get something but I was so turned off by my experience that I felt compelled to share it because in this day and age, you can't treat your customers like that and if you want to charge whatever you want on food, make sure you're giving them fresh stuff. If you close at 9 or 10, don't make people feel like they're inconveniencing your staff 45 minutes...
Read moreYeah, I had a taste of heaven once and if I could afford to have this pizza delivered to Atlanta on a regular basis, Iâd probably not do it because that would be absurd. I would however recommend anyone within a 400 mile radius to go to Stellas.
They craft their dishes with the attention to detail of Michelangelo , the care of Mother Teresa, and the love of pizza greater than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When pizza is cooked with this level of passion, you donât pass it up. You donât turn your back, order elsewhere, and think nothing of it. No, once you try their pizza, youâll want to shoot yourself in the face for waiting so long to enjoy the experience but knowing you can have more will keep you alive.
As your tastebuds go into an endorphin coma, producing excess amounts of saliva, youâll begin to drool and quite honestly, look the fool; not for your appearance or glazed over stare, but because you waited years after you developed teeth to eat there. There have been over 300 reports of a babyâs first word being âStellaâ and four times more of that being the last words of a dying fella.
So heed my advice and try this haven for if you think twice youâre gravely mistaken. You can thank me now or thank me later but sooner or later the longer you wager whether or not this review is safer consider the time Iâve invested in making this thing rhyme and let that be a testimony to this reviewer spending all his money on possibly having this pizza shipped to Atlanta with a side...
Read moreI have been all over the country looking for the best đ. Let me tell you that I am from NYC and have had what I consider the best pizza in the country at Totonnos in Coney Island. Also, Difaras in Brooklyn until the old man Difara died. I consider myself a foody. If you are in Florida you have 2 choices. The Grimaldis in Palm Beach is right at the top. Now, there are other Grimaldis throughout Florida, but the one in Palm Beach is the best one. The other place, which is a hole in the wall place called Stella's in Boca Raton. From the cheese to the dough, to the sauce, it hits on every level. The ingredients are high quality, from the dough to the cheese to the crust. It's 20 plus minutes from where I live in Delray Beach. I would walk the entire distance to get there if I didn't have a car. Again, it's basically a hole in the wall place, but oh, what a place. Oh, by the way, 2/1 beers, don't forget about that. Also, buy 1 pie, get the second 1 half price. If you are truly a đ aficionado, get over there. Also, I generally don't write reviews because it is so rare for me to find a great place. This is the kind of place you would see on Diners, drive-ins, and dives on Food Network. Times up. Time for me to get in my car and head over to Stella's. Caio. P.S. they don't open until 4PM. Like I said, I don't want write many reviews, but found it necessary to write this one. Give it a shot. You...
