I was expecting a fancy Italian restaurant that would give Carmelo’s competition. We walked into a brightly lit atmosphere, extremely lit. We had reservations at 6, walked in at 5:50 and were told to sit at the bar as the table wasn’t ready. We were fine with that, but the hostess forgot about us. We returned to the hostess counter and were seated. If you get a martini, expect it to be short. I was told that they used the normal amount of liquor in the glass, but it’s just a big martini glass. I don’t agree with that logic. Don’t buy large martini glasses if you’re not going to fill them. In my opinion, the glasses were not excessively large. Our waitress was pleasant and did her job well. They played live music and it was a little too loud. Tables are seated right next to the music. It’s difficult to talk. We were disappointed with the food. We told the waitress that my husband has food allergies so we asked for anchovies on the side of our Caesar salad. The problem is we watched (the restaurant has windows so you can see into the kitchen) the chef place the anchovies on the salad plate with her hands (gloves were worn) and then pick up the Caesar salad with the same hand and placed it onto the plate, contaminating the salad. The portions of food are small, but I had expected that. One of the biggest of all issues was the excessive salt and lemon (or other citrus). The Caesar salad was too tart, even the garlic bread was tart. The chicken parmigiana and sausage pappardelle were too salty to enjoy. Suggestions: dim the lights, fill the drinks, and go easy on the salt and citrus. Overall, I felt it was a commercial fast food Italian restaurant.

I had dinner on March 9, 2024, at Stretto Restaurant in Charlotte Harbor, FL. We were a party of 4 and I do recommend making reservations. Because of my gluten and soy allergy I called ahead to review the menu with the staff. Chef David was amazing. He took the time to answer my questions. As it turns out, I can have a variety of things. And they have a gluten free fusilli pasta served three ways. Oh, and they even have Udi’s gluten free bread. To start, I ordered the Herb-Crusted Beef Carpaccio. And my husband got the Ahi Tuna Crudo. Both dishes were delicious! Also, we both ordered the Tuscan White Bean Minestrone soup which was very tasty! For dinner, I had the amatriciana with gluten free pasta. All I can say is WOW! It was so spicy and flavorful! In fact, my husband said he will definitely get that next time. The rest of my party ordered Veal Bolognese, Gulf Shrimp and Chicken Parmesan. Everyone raved about the food. We were so stuffed that no one had room for dessert. But we will when we go back. Jason was our server and he delivered great service. By the way, the view was nice. We sat by the window and watched the sun set. Overall, the dinner was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and fellow Celiac folks

I was going to leave a 3 star but the service was exceptional so leaving a 4. Marth, the host was incredible and very friendly. Jose, was our server and he did a great job as well. We also had the manager, Jack and the head chef, Jason come out to chat with us as well. Service was great. We had really high hopes for the food, we tried 3 appetizers and 3 entrées. Bruschetta was the best app, the calamari just wasn’t good and there was a ton of other food like potato’s, banana peppers, etc. there was probably 50% or less calamari and it was chewy and over cooked. The meatballs were okay just not a lot a flavor at all for a red sauce. Now for the entrées it was a lot of the same, chicken parm was over cooked, clam linguine was cooked good but literally no flavor at all. The margaritas pizza was an overly cheesy pizza with tomato and mozzarella cheese slices thrown on top. For an Italian restaurant, we order these dishes more often than not. Just weren’t impressed and wish we could say we’d come back because the service truly was exceptional. They need to work on their dishes, maybe it was a bad night for them. Hope it’s not the norm.

My parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and a vow renewal this weekend. After seeing the gorgeous private dining room, the wonderful harbor views, and trying some of the amazing food, momma fell in love with Stretto. Our party ended up being about 30 people, and they knocked it out of the park.

Giovanni, Jorge, and Lou were tasked with providing service for our party and did a phenomenal job. Everybody was well-taken care of. Drinks were consistently served in a timely fashion, each course of the meal was served efficiently, and they happily accommodated any other guest requests and answered all questions. Fantastic service all around.

The food was simply incredible. Started with freshly toasted crostini and a house-made ricotta that was velvety smooth and bursting with flavor. Charcuterie boards were then brought out, with a wonderful variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits. Everything was fresh and delicious. It also included a portion of fresh, local honeycomb, something I've never had before. It was an interesting taste that paired very well with the fresh apricot. Guests then chose between a soup and salad. The roasted fennel and tomato soup was delicious and perfectly creamy. The salad had beautiful organic greens, fresh strawberry, more amazing ricotta, almonds, and a fig balsamic. Entrees consisted of a chicken gnocchi, angus tenderloin, or blue crab carbonara. I had the carbonara, which was, simply put, the most delicious plate I've had at a restaurant in a long time. It came with house-made pasta, English peas, crispy pancetta, heirloom tomato, and a poached duck egg. Everything about this dish was fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. Although I didn't personally try the other entrees, other guests raved about them as well. The tenderloin was served with grilled asparagus, an Italian sausage and potato hash, and a barolo jus. The chicken dish came with forest mushrooms, black truffle gnocchi, and a béchamel sauce. Based on guest comments, I want to go back to try those other two entrees. We finished with a gelato sampler that included scoops of chocolate, pistachio, and cappuccino gelato, and almond biscotti crumble. This actually brought me back to a gelato place right by the Trevi Fountain where I ended up a few times while visiting Rome several years back.

Absolute A+ all the way around. A big thanks to the service team, as well as Mary (the general manager), and Chef Taija and her kitchen team for putting this all together and helping make my parents' special weekend truly...

I returned because I want to support Sunseekers , and the food and special the service is outstanding

I will start with this ; I have dinner last night at Stretto .I start with a nice cocktail, Negroni was perfectly made. Tara my server ,she is a Top Shelf server , she is always attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and very professional, I start with a home made Cesar salad 🥗; was crispy, creamy, fresh , home made dressing , home made croutons nice balance ,very enjoyable and delicious . For the main course I ask my server ,Tara , what her recommendations . She was very helpful, and very knowledgeable about each item from the menu ; so I choose the BRANZINO “ white fish delicate flaky presented by the chef Jason ( by the way he came to my table and check on me , and other guests) very impressive! My fish BRANZINO was perfectly cooked; presented as a whole fish , was very tasty also Tara she offered to debone my fish ? That was over the Top ; so she did, she bring to the table , a lemon hot towel presented on a warm plate , again very impressive ( top shelf server ) you can’t get better then this , so I finished up with a beautiful dessert, suggested again by my Server Tara , it was a puff pastry with a blueberry, assorted fruit tart .I guess, served with a vanilla ice cream was amazing and delicious, again Stretto , you make my dinner , and service a 5 star experience, and Tara definitely she is a top shelf server . I have dinner all premises at the Sunseekers all the restaurant including Maury”s but stil number one and service is Stretto and all other restaurant around here in PG , PC Service , and food . If I could give them 10k stars I will , so I just will give 5 stars Definitely I will return and bring my friends and business to Stretto recommend to everyone, don’t forget to ask for top shelf server Tara , great Job Chef Jason , Management, Jack ,( by the way he came by table to check on me as well ) very professional and impressive, keep up the good work and rich for the stars not only 5 stars ,beyond and above because you deserve it , what you do , and Tara she is one of them ,the star of the restaurant definitely try it , you will...
