me and my friend just left this place. we stopped by because we were starving and couldn’t wait until we got home to eat. everything was pleasant at first… until we had to wait for my friend’s order. it took a reasonable amount of time for my two slices, but we were waiting there almost 20-25 minutes for the second order of two slices. not to mention, while we were waiting for my friend’s order, the owner (it seems, it was hard to tell based off of his unprofessional behavior) decided it would be a good idea to berate a minor that he was letting go in the main eating area. not only was he being rude to the minor, but he was arguing back and forth with him about hours he had worked and wages he was owed- and ended up paying him the rest of what he was owed cash right there, and told him that he was actually giving him more than he should so he should be “grateful”. it was absolutely disgusting behavior, and a gross business practice. it severely disappointed me. and so did the pizza. it wasn’t even worth the wait, and it lacked flavor, and it was very greasy. i wouldn’t come back here and i would not recommend it.
edit after seeing owner’s response: i knew the person you were berating in the middle of the dining room was a minor because i spoke to him outside after i left. i talked to hin because the way you spoke to him and treated him made me so angry for him, and i wanted to make sure he was okay. it was at that point he said that he’s used to this kind of behavior, because he’s only 16 and still a minor. i don’t have to know all the facts of the situation or see his timesheet, like you demanded from him, to know that the way you spoke to him about the matter was unprofessional. you interrupted him multiple times, didn’t even look him in the eye half the time you were talking to him, and didn’t even have the decency to have the conversation in private. not only this, but you didn’t even want to listen to him, and when you figured out he was right, you decided to pay him the rest of what he was owed cash, and told him that he should be grateful for this actually because you didn’t take any taxes out. again, this is a 16 year old kid. what the hell is he going to know about taxes? watching that entire exchange really turned my opinion about this place 180, and seeing the owner’s response to my review only affirms my decision to never go back again. besides, their food isn’t even good. as i said in my...

I USED to frequent Stromboli's a lot, but not after what happened in the parking lot the other evening.
The restaurant is located in a plaza with several other businesses, including a large grocery store (Publix). I live in the area but was caught in traffic and had a phone meeting with a client scheduled. I pulled into the plaza parking lot to make the call, rather than driving while talking on my cell phone. I parked in the parking lot (which I have done many times before since I buy my groceries and other services there) and started my call.
In the middle of my call with my client, the delivery driver from Stromboli's came to my car and interrupted my call to ask me what I was doing there. (In a public parking lot where there are multiple businesses). I told him that obviously I was talking on the phone. He was very rude.
I kept speaking with my client and did not move. After a few minutes, the Stromboli's employee came back and interrupted my call again to ask me what I was doing. I was holding the phone to my ear, so it was obvious that I was speaking on the phone. This time (with my client listening) he told me to leave. "People don't just sit in their cars and make phone calls. Leave!" Again I reiterated to him that it was a public parking lot that serviced multiple businesses. "GO HOME" he yelled at me ... while I was on the phone. My client was astonished at his behavior. Then he threatened to call the police ... to which I told him to go ahead because I am certain that sitting in your car in a parking lot is not against the law. He sped off in his car. I finished my call, no police showed up ... then I went home.
If this is the caliber of individual that Stromboli's thinks should be part of it's "team" then I am pretty sure I don't want to see what they are doing in the kitchen.
Note: I have lived in the area for almost 20 years, own a professional services business, and drive a nice high end SUV. There was nothing about my vehicle or appearance that caused his...
Read moreWe have been ordering from here for years and since the new owners took over it has been nothing but growing disappointment. Slow service and poor service have become the norm. Today may be the final straw. I placed an order at 5pm and was told it would be 45-50 minutes for pickup. A little long but it’s New Year’s Eve and I figured I’d be home with it by 6. I walk in at 545 and am told oh your early and it will be another 25 minutes?!?! I explained I was right on time actually. She looks at her screen and confirms oh I guess you are. I am told well we are behind and there are 5 pizzas ahead of your to go into the oven so it’s at least another 25 minutes. No I’m sorry. I asked that since I was here could they put my pizza in ahead of anyone that was not already here waiting…. instead I am offered the opportunity to cancel which I honestly think they wanted me to do as it may have helped them get less behind. At this point I am committed and decide to wait it out with the 8 other people who are waiting in the dining area after being told their pizza is not ready. I think one of my New Years resolutions may be to find a new pizza place. It’s a shame because we always have enjoyed this place under the previous owner but it’s becoming more disappointing with every order and the new owner does not seem to care. If you have all night to wait for a pizza then this is the place to order from. 615 and my pizza is done. They call my name toss it on the counter and walk away with not even a thank you. All I can say is thanks for helping me follow through on this resolution....
