Unfortunately, things were just not good. While we did like the Brussel sprouts, their “best item” was horrible. We asked what was best and they explained how the pizza dough is made in house and that the pizzas were great. We ordered two pizzas and both were like eating a little bit of cheese and some toppings on top of cardboard. There was little flavor and the crust was worse than grocery store pizza, but at 3 times the price. $72.00 later and we left very underwhelmed. They came and said, “Sorry, we have a new guy making pizzas and the dough is coming from a third party.” Well thanks for telling us this after you already raved about the great pizza. Additionally, there was no sauce on either pizza. This includes a traditional pepperoni pizza that should have sauce. It was dry and flavorless. We asked for a side of marinara sauce and they brought us a plastic cup with absolutely cold (not even room temperature) that likely came out of a can in the refrigerator…. Now that just added insult to injury. Did I mention that they never once asked if I wanted a refill on my drink despite it being empty for half of the time we were sitting at the table.
I have to say that everyone was very nice, but to come and ask us if they could “buy” us dessert after we had already gotten up, paid our bill and were leaving, was not going to fly and not going to create any type of resolution. Unfortunate and costly for what it was. I can’t recommend this place outside of the fact that people are extremely nice. 1 out of 10, without a doubt. I wish I could give the benefit of the doubt but when you have the owner there and it is all this bad, something is seriously in...
Read moreWaitress Caroline apparently can’t see black people. Went to dine on patio and she ignored my party completely. Went inside to speak to the ‘manager on duty’ which yielded no better results. Another black couple who had arrived around the same time as we had, were also being ignored. Like sitting down, staring into space, waiting for a glass of water and a menu type of ignored. A Caucasian couple who then arrived later in and sat right next to our table were greeted, immediately given water and straws, were provided menus and were able to place their order. Just to confirm I wasn’t hallucinating, I asked if they had arrived after us and hadn’t been previously at the restaurant and they confirmed they just got there. The male stated (when I told him we had been ignored), ‘that’s not cool’ however, continued to benefit from being served first and didn’t speak up to Caroline about the inequity. Anyway, I complained again inside and that’s when the ‘manager in duty’, who was also doubling up as the bartender inside, decided to wait on us directly. As far as the food, the ‘brick oven’ pizza was charred. I’ve had brick oven pizza the world over and burnt is just burnt however, they tried to ‘explain’ to me what brick oven pizza was as if I’m daft. Horrible place. They thought the resolution was a discount off the bill which I didn’t ask for or expect. How about skipping the racism, terminating staff that can’t seem to realize they are there to serve ALL patrons, and get with the program? This isn’t a lunch...
Read moreThe reason I'm giving them only three stars is because they threw out my leftovers like 2 seconds after I left and I forgot them, and once I remembered about 5 minutes later, they had already thrown them out😣🤦. so if you do go here just know that if you accidentally leave your leftovers on the table and then go to the bathroom or something, it will be thrown out immediately 😣🤦😭 Edit: I never cussed at the staff! I am not sure why you are saying that?! I was just surprised that I was not gone more than a few minutes and you didn't think maybe I'd come back for my food after realizing that I forgotten it. Please don't make it seem as though I was being rude to the staff. I gave a generous tip I just forgot my food and was hoping that maybe someone had put it behind the counter because obviously it's like I was right there at Publix and then forgot. Maybe just hold on to it for 15 or 20 minutes you saw me go right there to Publix (strange that someone was watching me, but okay). I literally paid $54 for two drinks and half a sandwich and like two bites of hush puppies.. I figured that maybe you would think that I would come back for my leftovers since I paid so much for the meal. Also, did you not see that I gave you five stars in terms of the location and the service? All I'm saying is that maybe just hold on to it if you were literally watching me and where I was...
