I have updated this review. Since my first review. This place is number 2 in the region.
I am the self-proclaimed Taco Hunter of this region. I hunt tacos on Tuesday because that's when talking bite!
Right now the raining champion of Tacos is Casa Masa In Sarasota. This place was recommended to me by a number of taco enthusiasts from the Sarasota foodies page.
I came here and search of the best taco in the region and I was met with disappointment.
I did have the Tuesday taco special. If the Taco Tuesday tacos were as good as the others and he said they were.
They have homemade shells and that's good but one of them fell apart quickly. The meat is bland It tries to be tasty but it just doesn't hit it.
Is in no way in the same playing field as Casa Masa. I mean it's a good taco and the rest of the meat and food looks pretty good You got a family style restaurant here and that's okay but the vibe is inauthentic.
If you want a good taco go ahead and eat here it's fine it's a good taco but that's it it's a good taco. Is there such a thing as a bad taco? Yeah I guess there is But this one's just a good taco. Every meal is an opportunity for Joy on this one didn't...

We ordered tacos, refried beans, street corn, guacamole with chips and washed it all down with glass cokes ( Mexican coke).
What we loved: The guac was freshly made along with the chips; both were amazing! I found the street corn to be be tasty but was too rich for me. My dining companions did not share my opinion: they loved the corn and had no trouble finishing it! ! The refried beans were among the best I’ve had and I lived in San Antonio for 6 years. The tacos were really solid.
What we didn’t like: The menu is confusing…it really needs to be re-written. They don’t have salsa so if you order chips, you have to go with pico, queso, or guac, For the tacos they have green and red sauce. The green sauce was good and has a nice little kick. We all passed on the red sauce; just not good.
Overall, great casual Mexican food! Don’t...
Read moreMy family stopped in here on our way to the Tampa airport. Food was amazing. We had tacos - chicken, carnitas, and steak, a carnitas burrito, chips and guacamole. Everything was fresh, authentic and delicious! The restaurant is clean with bright , fun decor. Service was quick and easy. We actually added guacamole and chips after our food came out and the cashier that took our order was nice enough to expedite the order so we could eat all our food together. The owner of the restaurant also came over to our table to say hello. She was super friendly and welcoming and even brought us some free churros for dessert. This was simply an awesome, delicious, friendly experience at a local restaurant. I highly recommend if you love good authentic fresh ingredient tacos and burritos, and if you want to support local small businesses. Can’t say enough good things - we’re so glad...
