My whole pizza was on one one half of the box. And because of this the box was leaking grease so badly that there is a crumb trail on my sidewalk all the way to the front door of grease droplets haha. My wife picked up the pizza, and we live so close we could walk but driving safer instead of trying to cross over Tampa road. Now to the juicy bits. THIS PIZZA WAS $$$$$!!!! No literally a large “everything” pizza was $22.50....But my wife said they were nice so that has to count for something in this world. I guess it gets you 3 stars at least. I should have called and sent my wife back. However, we bought this house 5 days ago, and 5 days straight ive been putting in 10 hours days renovating my new house, on top of working my own job, cause people still need plumbers and HVAC, and I’m a full time college student. So that’s why I didn’t try to make it better. The sausage on the pizza was premium but cooked it on the pizza which is a rookie move which is why it was a greasy pizza. Cook it in a pan, and pop em on right as it comes out. You’re sausage is great though. I guess I’m so butt hurt because we are from New York. I eat pizza 3-4 times a week and sauce on Sunday. I really love my pizza when times are tough and boy times have been tough. I just wish I had just one good experience with one of “NY” pizza places next to my less than a week old first home. Guess I’m makin my own pizzas from here out after my brand new kitchen done being installed. Holla for my new double convection oven. Now I’m off to write Gino’s a 1-star cause they weren’t nice at all, and I did call them after my order was messed up and they didn’t want to send a driver over to my house with 2 two liters and wanted to charge me after I just spent $90 and stacked Two very very hot chicken wing boxes which melted the styrofoam completely so I lost 20 chicken wings. But that was all after the phone call I already made so I wasn’t gonna call back because I’m never going back haha. Lastly the sausage was super good. And I hope someone reads this and...
Read moreKinda of disappointed on our first try here. Got delivery for 2 kids meals (slice of cheese + fries and slice of cheese + pears) and a calzone w/ sausage.
Order and delivery time and price were good. But, they forgot the fries which sent a tired 3 y/o into a very bad place. The pears weren't quite ripe so were too firm and not flavorful. The calzone lacked flavor in the crust and was just a lot of cheese that also wasn't very flavorful (no seasoning anywhere) and the sausage was ok but tiny in a big sea of cheese. Kind of calzone that maybe you need like 3+ toppings for it to be decent but Mellow Mushroom can deliver on a cheese and sausage calzone and it's delicious.
I did call about the fries, they offered to deliver us some but that seemed like an unnecessary trip so I gratefully declined having a driver do that, and instead asked if there was something they could do towards my next order. The woman on the phone gave me a $1 credit towards our next purchase which was the add on value of the fry apparently. It's not about the $$ value of the fries, as a customer, it's about not having them and in particular the toddler who was waiting on them (I did mention that). I expected maybe more like an actual discount or a free app or something more meaningful than $1. I didn't ask for something more after that, I don't feel as a customer I should have to. It's possible they may have granted it but experienced customer service would have come up with a...
Read moreEdit** it's been a while since I wrote that review. I've not only ordered from here since, but so have people I know. All experiences have been great since my review was written. Thanks, 3 Brothers. Sorry it took me so long to realize that I needed to update this review.
One simple medium pizza, quoted "an hour to an hour and 20 mins" delivery time (I live .5mi down the road but was unable to leave to pick up the pizza tonight). The driver was out on delivery with our pizza for 35 minutes- and the pizza ultimately showed up 20 mins past the [latest] promised time...completely cold! We called the store to check on the status of the pizza and let them know that it's been out on delivery for quite a long time. We were told that if the pizza showed up cold, just to pop it in the oven to crisp it up a little. Having worked in a lot of restaurants, I try to give all food service industry workers the benefit of the doubt. But after waiting an hour and 40 mins for a cold medium pizza that was made half a mile from my house, "throw it in the oven" is the very last thing anyone wants to do/hear. There needs to be a better delivery system in place here, or at least better customer service when dealing with a rather obvious issue for a pizza delivery...
