Been coming to this location for 4+ years. After reading some negative reviews (which kinda blows my mind, but is to be expected with any business), I decided to finally rate/leave my comments. I've tried p.l.e.n.t.y of other Chinese places (from Clearwater to Hudson) over the years & in my personal opinion, this is the BEST Chinese food we have around the Palm Harbor/Oldsmar/ Tarpon/Holiday/NPR area; hands down. New York Chinese food is extremely hard to compare to/compete with, but they're right up there with it. Always great customer service, & even if I haven't been there in awhile, they always remember me when I call/come in. I could rave about how great my food always is, or how I absolutely l.o.v.e their pork fried rice, but one of the best things they make is Crab Rangoons; & no exaggeration here, they are delicious! If you haven't stopped in, or are thinking about giving Great Wall a try, I would recommend it to anyone in...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to grab haircuts at FS but close to lunch and busy with a 35-40 minute wait. So found Great Wall in the next block. Called to make sure they had inside dining, they said they did, so headed down.
Well the inside dining is same as most Chinese carry out places. A couple small tables and chairs designed more to wait for pick up orders. No one there so we ordered our food and had a seat. My wife only wanted a bowl of Wonton soup, I chose the Moo Goo Gai Pan.
The Wonton soup came immediately. My wife said it was not as good as she was used to and that the crisps were stale. Shortly my meal came and was ok, I just wished there were veggies.
The best thing about the entire experience was the most adorable little 4 year old girl (owner’s daughter?) that came right over and talked with us for the whole meal! So cute and so many giggles! Wish I could have caught her on a video, but I thought...
Read moreMy husband and I have been trying to find a really good Chinese place since we're new to the area. We had been going to Chef Li but thought it was mediocre so we decided to give Great Wall a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The sweet and sour chicken is just how I like it, light batter and not too crispy. The fried rice is ok, nothing special but not bad either. The rangoon are pretty good but they are a little on the sweeter side, wasn't expecting them to be that way but we like sweet stuff anyway lol. The egg rolls are good, nothing special. Overall, there's nothing special about this place but the food isn't mediocre either. We do think it's better than Chef Li as there's more flavor to the food and the quality of the meat is just as...
