Very frustrating, unless you speak Spanish! I live very close to the establishment and my wife and l usually eat breakfast and (sometimes) lunch a few times a month. The food is great in our opinion. But l'm afraid that after this morning's experience, we can no longer support the business. We were working at home and l decided to put in two " to go" breakfast orders for us. The phone was answered by a gentlman with a very heavy Spanish accent, who seemed to have some difficulty with both the order, and my CC info. and after l explained l didn't speak Spanish at all. After. making the order and him trying to enter the C.C. info. that he insisted l give, and saying it was being declined, (l checked my bank account and the card has over $2K space on it;) l turned the phone over to my wife who happens to have a doctorate degree and a much more " educated" voice and accent. After she tried and was told the same thing, l asked her to tell them l will come over right away and talk to them and enter the order face to face. Upon arriving, l entered the establishment and met a young gentleman who worked there. I explained my situation only to be informed ALL orders to go MUST be made from the window outside to the kitchen. I explained that there was a LONG line and so would take to long, and asked if l could phone it in as l had a phone with me. He looked at the long line outside and asked me to wait a minute, then went towards the back. Within a minute at the most, a young lady came out from the front kitchen area and said something to me in Spanish. When l apologized that l did not speak Spanish, she told me in English that if l wanted to put in an order to go, l would have to do it from the outside thru the window. As the line contained 9 people, l declined and left.. My feelings on the matter: l have NO issues with anyone that doesn't speak or understand Englisg well. When l tried to call the order in and had SO much problems with him getting the BASIC C.C. info. (such as the number correct, when asked to repeat) l feel the call should have been given to someone that DOES understand and speak English better. And when l ended up having to drive over there to re-enter the order, l don't feel l should have to go stand in a 9 person line to do so. If they were unwilling to take my order when l was in the restaurant, at least l should have been allowed to call it in... I use to own and run a service orientated business, and customer service comes first! While l realize they will not miss the app. $600 or so that we spent there each year, in my opinion one needs to stand up these days to things the deem unfair. While l don't agree with their business practices, l still feel they could have dealt with it in a mutually...
Read moreI will never go to this place again and it’s a shame because this was my husband and I favorite place to have dinner about 2 years ago when we lived closer. I got out late from work today and had no time to make dinner and my husband reminded me about three palms. I drove a little out of my way to give away my money. First I called to place the order over the phone and spoke to Jessica. I ordered Chicharon de pollo with white rice and black beans and a breaded palomilla steak with white rice, black beans and a side of platanitos Maduro. When I get there I noticed that the palomilla steak was not breaded it was grilled and the platanitos were missing so I told the lady the problem and she told me that they will fix it right away. After waiting 20 minutes the lady finally comes up to the front to tell me my order has be even fixed. She started putting it back in the bag when two people came from the back I’m guessing the kitchen and opened one of the containers and took out some platanitos that was put in the container with the palomilla steak. I asked what is going on and the lady tells me “oh they are taking out the extra platanitos because you ordered a side of them” I couldn’t believe my eyes. I asked for the manager but I was told she was busy and I couldn’t wait because I had to pick up my baby from day care. When I got home I called again and guess what! Still busy. We sat down to eat and we couldn’t eat the food. It was Disgusting!!!!The chicken was tough and rubbery, like it was fried again. The rice tasted old and it had no salt and the beans tasted light they were straight out of a can and I’m sure it was. My husband steak was also tough and the breading was burnt and with no flavor. The chicken was $13.95 plus a credit card fee and the steak was $17.33 plus a credit card fee. I could’ve gone to pollo tropical and got two tasty fresh meals for less than $20. Definitely super over priced and very poor quality. I am so disappointed on this place. I am sure they get complaints every day....
