We took our Mercedes in for wash since this place is fairly new and looked modern and clean. You have to line your left wheels up on a track, take your foot off the break and put the car in neutral to engage. On my car you have to press the brake to change gears as a safety (roll away) measure. The track started to rock the vehicle. We got the car into natural and proceeded through. We took the $18 wash with wheel clean and wax. Despite the fancy lights, bells and whistles the car was not as clean as we had hoped. We complained and they accommodated us to take another pass. The same issue with the track rocking the car. The vacuums do work very good and they have rags, I will say that. However after drying the wheels we noticed the rims were scratched pretty badly. The manager Harvey said they have cameras that will verify everything and that the track is hard plastic not metal. He promised me the “owner Simon” would review and be in touch the same day. Of course in classic “Miami style” never heard back. I called the main office (each location has no phone - how convenient). Ana informed me that Simon was not the owner but the manager. Took all my info and said she was emailing it to the powers at be, and I would definitively be contacted. Nobody ever contacted me at all. I can not prove the damage is from El Car wash, and I’m not trying to blame anyone. These guys have no professional integrity AT ALL and do not keep their word or value their customers. All they had to do was contact me like they promised and said we looked the cameras and found yes it was us or no it was not and we are sorry for the bad experience and they would have gained my respect and future business/loyalty. Instead they decided to ignore me and hope I go away quietly. You guys at least 8 locations, and need stand behind your work and and your word and not hide and deflect if you want to be known as a reputable business and grow. When I downgraded my plan to the $26 one I definitely didn’t like it and asked to be upgraded to the Ceramic one which I originally had and believe that is about $36 plus tax. Today I drove by like I usually do and was rudely told by Edie that I’m getting a basic $13 dollar car wash. When I asked him I thought that I am paying for a $26 plan he stated no it’s a simple basic wash. I was completely confused and when I tried to ask him questions about my plan he was so unprofessional and rude and told me I was holding up the line and also refused to answer any of my questions. I said I’m sorry If you’re having a bad day but I am a client and I do pay for any of my services rendered. Unfortunately I had to bring my three kids due to loosing my husband last year to Covid-19. Edie continued to yell and I asked for a manager. When he called his manager I can Clearly hear him telling his manager that the lady that causes problems with her plan is here. Never did I think that I was a problematic client. I was just simply trying to upgrade my plan to the ceramic plan. When the manager did come He advised me to come around and get the car wash and he will come and fix my plan I have been here with my three children for an hour and no one has came to speak to me about my plan. I feel so embarrassed since I am Regular client that comes here almost every day to get my car wash since I do have my kids in sports I Like to keep my car nice and clean. I feel so horrible because I am not used to this type of treatment specially at a car wash.    Read moreI regularly visit the car wash on Biscayne Bay and have been a loyal member due to its convenience and helpful amenities, especially the newly installed hoses with water and glass cleaner for interior cleaning. As someone who works in a location where I frequently drive through mud, this car wash has been a practical solution for keeping my vehicle clean on a daily basis.
During my most recent visit, I was using the hose to rinse the mud off my tires—something I’ve done before without issue—when I was approached by an employee who told me I could not use the hose because I was wearing slides. I offered to go barefoot if safety was the concern, but he said it could still be slippery for others. I then asked about the intended purpose of the hoses if customers are not allowed to use them properly. He informed me that the only acceptable method was to use a towel to wipe down the tires, which I agreed to do.
However, shortly after, while I was speaking with another person who was kindly helping me with cleaning tips, the same employee returned and began repeating himself in an unnecessarily rude and aggressive tone. He told me I should go to a different location or seek out a detailing service. Despite having complied with his request not to use the hose, he continued speaking over me and insisting I leave.
At that point, I explained that I was following his instructions and simply there to wash my car—not to engage in a confrontation. I asked him to respect my space and allow me to complete my wash in peace.
This was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience, especially as someone who genuinely appreciates this car wash and uses it responsibly. I hope management can address the approach and tone of staff when interacting with paying members to ensure a more respectful and professional environment...
