We love Firehouse subs and get them often. I normally order on the app and then go pick up from the store when ready. They are always fresh and always make our subs with the right amount of meat, cheese and veggies. The store is always clean and it's usually a fast and friendly visit. I'm docking 1 star for this last visit because I went to order on the app like I usually do and got finished with my order at 8:30pm and went to pay in the cart when it popped up telling me that there were no more time slots which means it was too late to put the order in on the app because the store is only open until 9pm. So I had to go into the store and place my order which usually is pretty quick, but this time it took forever it felt like because their register system or online system is very, very slow! Not to mention that a sub I ordered was the Firehouse Hero medium which said $6.99 on their menu board as well as online, but the register charged me $7.99 for it. I brought it to the guys attention and all he said was oh well, the menu board and app aren't updated with our price changes yet. Ugh, that's it? How are you going to charge me something that isn't there? There's was no mention of any price changes anywhere and if you're menu on the wall says the sub costs $6.99 then that's what you give me! Nope, he continued to charge me more for it! So I finally go to pay and their debit machine is crashing! So it took me another 10-15 minutes just to pay and the guy wasn't even starting to make my food until I paid, like I didn't have the money to pay for the food or something. So now I had to stand there another 15-20 minutes to get my food! I think it's ridiculous that they won't even start making your food until you've paid when it's their fault that they weren't paid already! I mean I had cash on me that I could've used to pay in case the debit machine didn't work, but I wanted to keep my cash and pay with my card. They need to change their policy on that part. As for the overcharging me, it's the law that you have to give whatever price that's advertised on your menu! You can't just change prices in your register and make people pay it! So I wasn't happy with this trip, but normally this is a good Firehouse Subs location, hence the reason I gave 4...
Read moreFirst and last time. The aroma indeed, made you order whatever they were making. So I asked and they said, it could possibly be, the BBQue pastrami or corned beef. Don’t quite know. They didn’t either.
To my surprise, it came in an egg container. That’s cool, I said to myself. Opened the sandwich only to find out, it definitely did not look like the pictures on the posters.
With a minimal amount of BBQue sauce, after having a couple of bites, I approached the counter asking for more. And that was a big mistake.
On the way back to my table, I noticed a big cockroach splattered on the floor and, with the wings out.
Here, these pre-historic flying roaches are called Palmetto Bugs. They’re all over. And please let’s be clear, these things are not bugs. That’s a synonym Floridians use not to scare the tourists away.
So I went to the counter again and informed one of the workers cooking, they have a big dead roach splattered on the floor and to my surprise, he, in a very calm and slow motion manner, looked at me and said, ‘aw okkkk, we’ll take care of it.’
I went to the table got my sandwich and to the garbage it went. The image of that thing is something, I am not soon, bound to forget. The sandwich was not worth the experience and the almost $15 it cost… awwww...

The whole time I was placing my order the lady who was taking my order had attitude. I tried to ignore the attitude, so I placed my order and asked the lady (evidently the owner) working, if they had a military discount. The lady went on to say with an attitude, "We only give discounts to active military and that discount only applies for combos." The lady went on to say with more attitude, "Is that all? I have a line that is being held up." I said, "Please cancel my order because I am a customer and don't deserve this." The lady said, "That's fine. Next person." I said, "Yeah, it is fine because now I can take my money and give it to an establishment that deserves it. Have a nice day." I went to this Firehouse Sub last week and got a discount on just the subs. The subs were okay, but not nearly as good as Subway. If you want a rude owner and sub-par sub, then by all means go to this establishment. Or you could always get a better and cheaper sub right down the road at subway.
