Trasca & Co Eatery — Restaurant in Ponte Vedra Beach

This place was a letdown from the moment I walked in.

I was staying next door at the Hilton Garden Inn and figured I’d give Trasca a try since it was convenient. Unfortunately, that’s about the only thing it had going for it. The food was nearly inedible — not because of how it was cooked, but because the ingredients themselves were just cheap and low-quality. You could tell whoever was in the kitchen knew what they were doing technique-wise, but when you’re working with subpar ingredients, there’s only so much you can do.

It essentially tasted like overpriced fast food. For the price point, I was expecting something at least remotely fresh or flavorful. Instead, it felt like a grab-and-go lunch counter pretending to be a sit-down eatery.

The customer service didn’t help either. The entire place appeared to be staffed by teenagers, and while I have no issue with that in theory, the energy was distracted and disengaged. I didn’t feel welcomed or taken care of — just processed.

The interior didn’t offer much in terms of atmosphere, either. It felt more like a half-hearted attempt at a neighborhood hangout than an actual restaurant. Between the food, service, and overall vibe, I wouldn’t recommend...

My recent dining experience was profoundly disappointing, primarily due to the venue's significant limitations. The space itself is remarkably small, creating an atmosphere that felt overwhelmingly overcrowded. More often than not, the room was uncomfortably hot, making it impossible to relax or enjoy the meal. This combination of cramped conditions and high temperatures consistently detracted from any potential for a pleasant dining experience.

Adding to the discomfort were the uncomfortable seats, which made even a relatively short meal feel like an endurance test. The service was another major drawback; it was consistently slow, and the staff, unfortunately, were far from welcoming, bordering on unapproachable. This lack of attentiveness and hospitality only compounded the negative atmosphere.

Finally, the food itself was, at best, fair. There was nothing about the culinary offerings that could redeem the multitude of other issues. Considering the uncomfortable environment, the subpar service, and the mediocre food, I strongly advise anyone considering this establishment to go elsewhere. There are undoubtedly better options available for a truly enjoyable and relaxing...

Not great, but decent. First of all, they are so proud of having come up with the "panino", but I guess they never bothered to Google the word to realize that that word is already taken! It's the singular form of panini, the Italian style pressed sandwich! Theirs (pluralized as, I kid you not, "paninos"!) is made with pizza dough, more a wrap than a sandwich. I had the Cuban one and it was a mess; quite greasy and without bread that's even worse. Good ingredients but unbalanced with pickle slices completely overpowering the other flavors except perhaps the greasy ham.

A friend had the "cracker pizza", thin crust but not crackery at all actually, too flexible for my buddy as a matter of fact. A third in our party had the shrimp "panino" which was probably the best thing. The table, seemingly made our of reclaimed wood, was quite sticky and even after wiping it down with water and a napkin it never felt clean.
