It was my birthday and this was my 2nd choice to go eat but I'm not picky so we tried it. First thing is: we loved the inviting and relaxing decor. But everything went downhill from there. I'm a server so I hate being too critical but if I do, I have good reasons. First, table had some water on it so we asked the girl to get us a cloth or napkin so I clean it. She did wipe it, no biggie. We got water and asked for 5mins to order everything at once as it seemed busy. There was 2 other parties by me celebrating birthdays too so I figured they could get weeded so I'll order at once and save her some steps(I get it as a server). We order salmon salad, chxn Francese and chxn marsala and a bottle of wine to share. We get bread but no plates, took maybe 6 minutes to get anyone to get us some plates and at that time the bread was cold(I'd offer to get fresh one but no) we still didn't complain, we ate it. Wine shows up like 8 minutes later, its a bottle for God's sake, it takes less than 2 minutes to grab a bottle and most places aim to deliver cocktails in under 5 minutes but a bottle took longer. Our server says to us "bear with me, I've never done this before", initially I'm thinking, "poor management" training your servers properly or hire someone that can do the job but then again I'm understanding. She asks me how to open it and I literally coach her thru the entire process even how much to pour. She left the foil and everything in front of me, I had to ask if they have a chiller for the wine and she wasn't sure then comes back with one. I'm cool still. Our food arrives and only the salmon was memorable. In the 10+ years I've served I've never tasted any place's food with this quality. I think their pasta might be the one to try next time if we go back but poultry was not it. Thanks for the complimentary limoncelo, it was great but everything else was poor. I didn't blame my server once, it's the management, they don't care. 3 celebrations in the same area and manager didn't stop by once to see how any of the parties are doing let alone any tables in the dining. What's his purpose there really? Never seen managers get it so easy. Might as well not have one to be honest. Would be try it again? We'll try the cape location if it's still there and see if they're any better. Also do you not hire males? It was only really young girls which is fine but man, train your staff, they seem awesome but lack training....

Our recent visit to Two Meatballs in the Kitchen at Fort Myers was a delightful journey through classic Italian cuisine, with a few highs and lows.

We began our meal with the classic tomato and eggplant bruschetta. This dish was a fantastic start, buzzing with the freshness of its ingredients as if they had been plucked straight from the garden that morning. The tomatoes were juicy, the eggplant added a satisfying texture, and the balance of flavors made for a vibrant and refreshing appetizer.

Next, we moved on to the Caesar salad, which did not disappoint. The crisp lettuce was perfectly coated in a creamy, tangy dressing, topped with crunchy croutons and a sprinkle of parmesan. It was a refreshing and well-balanced course that prepped our palates for the main dishes.

The Italian sub, however, was a bit of a letdown. While the bread was fresh and the fillings generous, the sandwich lacked our expected bold flavors. It was somewhat bland and didn’t have the seasoning to elevate it to the level of the other dishes.

Our main courses were lasagna and pesto mushroom ravioli. While promising in appearance, the lasagna unfortunately fell short. It lacked the rich, layered flavors and robust sauce we hoped for, making it underwhelming.

In contrast, the pesto mushroom ravioli was the show's true star. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the earthy mushrooms perfectly complemented by the fragrant pesto sauce. The tender and flavorful ravioli made this dish the highlight of our meal.

To end our afternoon, we indulged in the tiramisu. This classic Italian dessert was the perfect conclusion, with its delicate layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and rich mascarpone cream. It was light yet decadent, leaving us with a sweet finish that perfectly capped off our dining experience.

Our drinks—an Una Momenta cocktail, a glass of Moscato, and the Il Cerevelli Tuscany wine—paired beautifully with our meal. The cocktail was refreshing, the Moscato was sweet and light, and the Tuscan wine brought a robust, full-bodied flavor that complemented the heartier dishes.

Overall, our experience at Two Meatballs in the Kitchen was a mixed bag, with some standout dishes and a few that missed the mark. However, the warm atmosphere and friendly service made for an enjoyable afternoon. We’ll certainly be back to savor that pesto mushroom...

We went here after buying a giftcard from costco, and reading the reviews we did come in with some high expectations. However, we were left feeling a bit disappointed. First the good, the waitress we had was lovely. Also the mozzarella squares and the sauce that came with them were both good. If I was just rating these two things I would give 4.5/5 stars.

On the other hand, the not so good, The worst thing was the smell of the floors and a smell coming from the kitchen. I think they tried to cover it up with a scented candle, however everyone in my party could smell it after we started walking towards our seats. Its almost like a dirty mop smell? 0/5 stars. In regard to the food, We ordered the house salad and caesar salad which were both soaked in salad dressing. Aside from that they were just average. I give them both 3/5 stars. We also ordered the fried calamari, it was also just average I have definitely had better fried calamari in bars. 3/5 stars.

Lastly we all shared the "Two meatballs pie" Pizza. At first bite it was pretty good 4/5 stars, however after eating a few bites it made us all not want to eat very much at all. There is so much ricotta on it that its overwhelming the whole pizza. We all are big eaters but we each only ate about one slice. In my opinion, the pizza could use a bit more sauce and a bit less ricotta to balance the flavor and texture. 2/5 stars,

downtown house of pizza, has FAR better pizza. and il pomodoro has a far superior caesar salad, so we don't feel the need to return to this restaurant.

Especially due to the strong odor, I would be weary of eating here and worry about if the kitchen is sanitary or not. Please use some fabuloso or something stronger to wash...

Fabulous! We went on a Saturday night. We didn't have to wait long at all and the service was fast and attentive. Hostess was a little underdressed given the style of the establishment, but that's being nitpicky, I don't really care lol. So the wife had a house salad, no complaints there, we shared their rolls...OH. MY. GAWD! These things are the size of baseballs and come in a bowl of delicious olive oil and spices. It's SO hard to not eat more than one! Calamari came next, not the best, not the worst. Worth the price. She ordered the Alfredo's Friend Carlo, and said that it was delicious. Especially that the sauce was with the same flavor but not nearly as buttery and cheap like Olive Garden. I ordered a meatball, because of course, and the meatlovers pizza. Unfortunately...due to the bread and the meatball (yeah...its THAT good of a meatball!!!) I could only entertain one slice of pizza but it was very good! It heated up perfectly the next day, so again, no complaints! I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted a great hearty Italian style dinner. I definitely highly recommend the meatballs. My wife recommends the Carlo pasta, and the pizza is also very good! Service was excellent and our server was very attentive. No complaints!

Great food, prices, and service! Had the chicken parm and a Cesar salad which I split with my wife without a share charge. Very good prices on beer and wine. Our server was polite and responsive. The complimentary garlic bread knots we're an awesome surprise. The music and general ambiance was fantastic. Just a few physical elements that needed addressing for a full 5 star experience. There are fresh flowers outside and the overall appearance is very welcoming. The bar is missing the standard foot rail which prompted us to visit the dining area. However, the seats are very low compared to the tables and they are very uncomfortable, I recommend sitting at a table at this restaurant. There were also two small items that we noticed that should be addressed at a restaurant of this caliber, the wall paper in the main dining room was pealing back with black discoloration on the backside of the pealed portion. Also, the air vents needed dusting. I write these comments in hopes the owner will address these simple physical issues to truly attain a perfect dining venue.
