Was lured here by the prospect of trying my first “Impossible Burger,” a new, plant-based patty that is supposed to be the latest thing and is only offered by a few places around. It’s not on their painfully slow website and doesn’t appear on the menu, but we read about it in the paper and called to confirm that they indeed offered it. The short end of that experience was fairly positive, as the weird new burger was well presented, enjoyed by my vegetarian wife, and surprisingly beef-like, even for a carnivore like me. Come to find out later, there’s so much salt and fat in Impossible Burgers that it’s healthier to just eat a cow, but that’s not the Artisan’s fault.
As far as The Artisan is concerned, however, I’m personally not a fan of restaurants that make you order, fast food style, at the counter. Especially not for premium prices. And believe me, their prices are premium! I get the whole aggressive pricing thing for organic, tree hugger fare, but $7 for a can of beer that I have to schlep out of the cooler myself?! C’mon. And then there’s the iPad cash register that guilts you into publicly tipping for service that you mostly provide yourself? Meh, just not my kinda’ place, I guess.
Don’t get me wrong, the food was decent, beautifully presented, and the cheese curds were a personal favorite. I just feel like better value and similar quality can be found elsewhere with a more traditional approach to sit...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience at a restaurant in my life. $50 for two burgers and no drinks. The burgers were way over seasoned to the point that it caused a physical reaction in my girlfriend after only one bite. She asked to have the burger remade and they took the other burger away. They then came back and said we would have to pay for a new burger. We said never mind. After we said the matter was closed, three employees surrounded my girlfriend and belittled her for having a reaction. They claimed it was the same spices on the fries that she was eating. At that point things started to get loud because they were attacking her and continued to do so after we asked them to go away (bare in mind we weren’t asking them for anything, we just wanted to finish eating and go). At this point there are 4 employees at the table. They then took our food and asked us to leave. I should have realized the type of place we were in when I read the sign about not giving refunds if you find shells in your food that they had posted. It was a weird place and it gave us a weird vibe in the beginning, but we were hoping the food would be good. It was awful. The place is run by children that would rather argue with customers than admit...

If you're looking for an incredible dining experience, look no further than Artisan Eatery! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for a fantastic meal.
I ordered the Cuban sandwich and Parmesan fries, and both were absolutely outstanding. The Cuban was perfectly pressed, with a delicious balance of tender pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and just the right amount of mustard. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor, and the crunch of the bread was perfection! The Parmesan fries were next-level—crispy, golden, and generously topped with freshly grated Parmesan that elevated them beyond your average side dish.
Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. Ellie and Ashley went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing experience. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and passion for great hospitality truly set this place apart. It's rare to find staff who genuinely care about your dining experience, and these two absolutely nailed it.
If you haven’t been to Artisan Eatery, you’re missing out! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a must-try spot. I’ll definitely be...
