A Rough night ended in smiles!
My girlfriend and I were hungry after a long bit of driving and it was late. Our only option was Wendy's or a 2 hour wait to drive home and cook. We chose this Wendy's and pulled into the drive through and there was a bit of a wait with the truck in front of us ordering. When we pulled up and asked for our usuals we were told they were out of several of the items we tried to order.
I could hear the lady was having a rough night so I asked the lady what she recommended and she was kind enough to suggest a few things to choose from.
We ordered and pulled up to pay. One look and we knew she must be dealing with a lot from her customers so we did our best to be kind and tried to make her smile. There were 3 young ladies we could see through the window running about handling what must have been a terribly busy night.
We got our food and left. On our way out we decided to try and do something nice for the lady running the drive through, maybe flowers or a card, something to change the tide for her but it was 10:30pm and nothing nearby was open except a gas station.
So I went into the gas station got a bunch of my favorite chocolate bars, M&Ms, etc. and went back to the Wendy's Pulled through and even ordered something again to pull through. The lady at the drive through turned to take my card and instead I handed her the bag. I told her why we got it for her and that we hoped it would brighten her night.
A smile spread across her face like the brilliant warm rays from a rising sun coming over the horizon after a long stormy night. She takes the bag and thanks us and goes to show the other 2 young ladies working.
They all lit up with smiles and laughter and gratitude.
For all of you considering a visit to this place; come with a kind word, a gift of a smile, and share a little love in the world because behind every business there is a team of people who are hard at work to give you what you came for.
Thank you to the staff of this Wendy's! You made our night with...

An employee came around the corner from the dining area with a headset on, looked at me, and curtly said, "Make it quick." I asked if he was talking to me and he nodded, then said again, "Make it quick." I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I asked for his boss and he said he didn't know who it was. I asked who signed his paycheck and he said it was direct deposit. I asked who he would call if he was sick and couldn't make it to work and he said he didn't know. I asked to speak with an employee who got a paper check and he said he didn't know who got a paper check. I raised my voice and asked who got a paper check and he said nobody spoke English. I asked if it was a corporate-owned store or privately owned and he said he didn't know. I got loud because the man was obviously lying to me, and he locked the doors so nobody else could come into the restaurant while I was angry. It was the absolute most ridiculous experience I've had with anyone, at any time, at any store of any kind. The funniest thing is that I called the corporate care phone number and the man's phone was breaking up so badly that I couldn't understand him. He took my phone number to call me back and my phone rang about 10 minutes later. I answered it and was met with silence. Get your act...

Asked what was included in one of the meal deals posted on the outside window (but not advertised anywhere inside) and rather than answer, the guy at the counter just rang it up. When I explained that I was just asking what the meal included I was told âitâs a small pattyâ. I then asked if it comes with fries, and again the answer was âyesâ. Upon leaving I discovered that it also included a 4-piece nuggets and a drink, but apparently I didnât ask about those particular items. I ordered something else. My wife ordered a baked potato with sour cream and chives. When it came, there was no sour cream included so she went back to the counter to get someâŚ..and was told that they were out of sour cream. She said âdonât you think that would be a good thing to mention when someone orders it?â He answered âyesâ. Ketchup dispenser was empty so I had to go ask for packets. At that point the guy at the counter said âwe closeâ and locked the doors. What the hell?? And there were only four customers dining inside. Itâs fast food so my expectations arenât real high to begin with, but this was really a poor...
