My wife and I like the Wendy’s franchise, especially the salads and chili. However, this particular store has gotta have the WORST front-end operation of any drive-thru in 5 miles. Not only are they excruciatingly slow, but very often the order is wrong or items are missing. They have the ability to display your order on the big menu board, but it’s evidently been broken for several years and they’ve never fixed it. Displaying the order along with pricing would greatly improve communications and eliminate errors down the line, but no....they don’t wanna fix it. Also, they always 3 or 4 employees crowding around the window, jabbering to each other rather than focusing on business. Where is management? Earlier this evening I visited the store and ordered 2 large chili’s, only to be told they were out of chili. Ok, so I ordered 2 Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers and 2 small fries. After waiting in the drive-thru line for 10 minutes, I finally got to the window, paid for the order, and after another several minutes was given a sack, which I immediately opened to check. (Been here too many times before) The sack contained 2 sandwiches but only 1 fry, so I told the attendant who disappeared to get another fry. After several minutes she returned with another fry, put it in a bag, gave it to me, and I drove home. When I got home, I put the order on plates, opened one of the sandwiches and found that one of them was a Spicy Chicken rather than the bacon cheeseburger. Go figure. We’ve been going to this place since we moved here 10 years ago, always hoping they’ll get their act together. I guess it won’t happen in the foreseeable future. Good luck, and always double check your orders...
Read moreThis Wendy's is located next to truck stop. I'm a truck driver and i Love to eat Wendy's. On 10/10/2019 I arrived at truck stop at 22:30. Only drive thru was open in Wendy's. But because I can't drive truck there I decided to just walk to drive thru window. I waited until the only car got its order. And walked to window to place an order. Unfortunately for me - hungry customer, service was denied. I asked if I can go to microphone to order and I was told no. I said please I'm a truck driver and I can't get my truck here. Please I'm hungry. I had my wallet in my hand and was not asking for free food or anything. And this mean old lady kept saying no. So i had to walk away hungry. What's the difference i'm with car or without? I think they were just lazy to make another burger before shift end. The younger lady closed window in front of my face and walked away before my conversation with older lady. I didn't say nothing bad to them I'm a nice guy company owner and operator. Actually bringing load of Cabbage from NY to Florida. To this very town of Punta Gorda. For the burgers and everything else. And I couldn't imagine such a mean people exist in USA....
Read moreI have never seen a fast food restaurant so poorly managed. I get into the drive through, and am told I have to wait 5 - 10 minutes for their computers to reboot. So I pull up. Two people sneak in behind me and order. I circle around to place my order and am told they just ran out of beef, and can only do chicken. Absolutely infuriating. So I drive across the street to McDonald's, and it takes less than 3 minutes to go from ordering to driving away with my food. If they can do it, you can do it.
This isn't an isolated incident. I came here a week ago and was also told that the Wendy's was out of beef. Again, McDonald's was there to save the day.
Wendy's Cheeseburgers are my favorite fast food burger. But it doesn't matter if the store won't sell them!
I've been a Wendy's shareholder for almost 20 years, but might have to reconsider that. I can only imagine poor Dave Thomas spinning in his grave if these operations are considered acceptable.
What's worse is that this store was just remodeled. The service was much better BEFORE the remodel. I don't care how fancy it looks, I just...
