Xochimex Cantina Grill of Bird Road — Restaurant in Florida

Ordered the tacos. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Completely unrelated to anything authentic Mexican, food wise.

The order was simple. They got it wrong. The guacamole is probably from a bag or made a few days beforehand. The did add a bunch of chips on top of the wrapped tacos. The foil that the tacos were wrapped in was soiled with many different pieces of cheese, beans and whatnot, on the outside, none of which were the ingredients I asked for inside of the tacos. The tortilla chips were on top of all that.

The cherry on top was half of a taco was hanging outside the box it came in.

I opened my to go order, saw the chips, saw the food items outside the taco wrappers, closed the box and tossed in the garbage bin!

Wanna be Chipotle. Steer clear. Questionable hygiene.

to the “owner” replying to reviews here - do yourself a favor and take a class in customer service. It’s not normal for any customer to have an order scheduled for a pickup time and delay it by over 30 minutes, while blaming staff shortages with over 6 people behind the counter.

I appreciate you letting the world know your onions tomatoes and cilantro is diced by hand daily. The guacamole doesn’t taste anything close to daily made, fresh, guacamole.

You’ve also failed to address the hygiene points, nor the packaging, nor anything else. Please focus on turning your restaurant around. We need all the small businesses around, especially restaurants.

We have been loyal to this restaurant until we ordered there for the last time! They usually have great food and the portions are acceptable but the last few times we have seen a degradation of quality and portion and always missing utensils and the sauces ordered. the last straw was being charged 20 dollars for the most pathetic tacos and steak bowl we have ever seen. Taco Bell would have been a way better choice. It tasted like crap and the portion was so small I was able to wrap the tortilla around the stuffing twice. My wife's bowl was awful and they didn't even bother to fill it to the top, not to mention no sauces were added or supplied as we paid extra for it. they at least gave us a huge amount of stale unsalted tortilla chips as if they were trying to get rid of it. No salsa!

The ambiance is okay, but it is always empty and clean (I would hope so). The employees were not too friendly and couldn't speak a word of English. They will get impatient if you take too long, I speak Spanish but i got an attitude when I spoke it so I kept speaking English to the rude ass employee.

I also witnessed on several occasions over the years, that one of the owners or employees went next door to the subway to get food and things, so I can see why the quality has fallen off.

Now you know why this was the straw that broke the camel's back! Never again and if I were you I would stay far away....

Worst customer service experience. One employee got extremely upset when taking my order because I asked for two separate orders. He started to insult me and my mother and throw items around saying he didn’t want to serve us anymore and we can get out because this was so complicated, this was a 4 item order I didn’t think it was that complicated since I’ve ordered like that before and he didn’t even try to make anything he just memorizing the order. One of the other employee saw how crazy and aggressive he was getting and offered to finish the order. But this will be the last time we will go. As the same employee mentioned he didn’t care what I thought because he claims he can do whatever he wants and will continue to work there. So my guess this is a normal thing and this is how they treat their customers since no one else spoke up and allowed that. I chose to spend my money somewhere we’re treated with more respect. Especially verbally and treating an older person that way and having other customer charm in on the harassment. Xochex cantina...
