Marakas Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

I wanted to try something different and new around my area and I went Marakas Pizza on Coral Way. Nice location, very clean place and wonderful employees. The food: I had Combo #4 and Combo# 5… really good prices. Combo #5 brings a personal pizza, a vita nuova pasta, garlic bread and 2 cans of your choice sodas… the vita nuova pasta was really bad, I do not know if it’s pre made but the amount of Oregano they put was over whelming to any human being taste… the garlic bread were dry. Combo #4 the only difference is that it comes with spaghetti… which by the way they were watery and missing the red sauce… it’s a huge amount thought. They charged 3.9% extra if you paid with a credit card like 99.9% of the US population now a days. I didn’t have an issue with that since every table has a sign saying it… overall 3 stars… I had everything take out… I called and asked for a Manager and they put me on hold and then they told me no Manager tonight… I don’t know why they put me on hold...

I haven't tried enough of their menu honestly. Their pizza is great. Very home style. Fresh, with plenty of cheese. Their spaghetti, is something to be desired. Not sure what it is that makes it so blegh. Maybe it's too much cheese for the spaghetti. (Tried this twice, not very good both times) Their lasagna isn't too good either. However, could have been the chef that day. (I only had it once). Their garlic breads are tasty, but tiny. Like 1x1 in. Service is meh, and they aren't too nice over the phone. I prefer ordering through delivery apps instead of them because their staff kinda sucks. Restaurant itself is pretty small. Maybe 6 to 8 tables inside. Parties of 6 they include tip. They do deliver, but it's easier and usually cheaper through one of those delivery apps because they don't have an online ordering system themselves. Mostly spanish foods. They sell shakes, dessert, pizza, burgers, chicken, steaks, seafood(lobster) dishes. However, I could not locate...

The food is DELICIOUS, and the portions are BIG!

You get a food menu that shows the menu prices if you pay with cash. They don't show you the food menu that applies to your check if you pay with a credit card, and if you pay with a credit card, the prices are slightly higher.

The food is amazing. It is truly amazing. Finger-licking mouth-watering delicious.

The servers are super nice. Very attentive and courteous. Water and refills are free and part of the service just like a normal Miami restaurant. The restaurant is clean, the TVs show beautiful caribbean beaches, and the atmosphere is cozy. The atmosphere makes you feel relaxed and happy.

5 stars in all areas (food, service, and atmosphere). Even if they charged me a bit more for using a credit card, I'll be back to this restaurant. It is a good option to have a nice meal with your loved ones!
